Yarma - your Ravelry Camera App

The main point of this app is for adding pictures to Ravelry projects or your stash If youre looking for an app that does anything other than that this isnt it It does pictures and does them pretty well Theres a nice variety of presets that are subtle and do a great job enhancing photos rather than applying a bunch if crazy effects Its hard enough trying to get accurate yarn colors in a picture that crazy presets are really unwanted These are nice The only downside is that all of the pictures are square Not a big deal but it would have been nice to know that square was my only option before buying the app Still not bad for the price and what it does              For pictures

Since my Vogue Knitting app lost all my data I decided to add the Wooly app and have a safe place to store my projects The Ravelry site has a rather cumbersome photo adding process Yarma is the solution Super slick addition to Wooly and worth the price                 Yarma

Updating Ravelry projects to include pictures was always a chore but Yarma makes it something I can do anywhere even after Ive given the item away as a gift                 Absolutely A Marvel

Well I was hoping to be able to upload new stash pictures Instead this app only allows you to upload images to existing projects and stashed items plus the photo edit capabilities which I have plenty of other software to do that with Least it was cheap        Limit Features

App will not let me upload photos after last iPhone update 83 Have tried everything to fix it App support page does not exist        Error 403

I have avoided adding pictures to my Ravelry projects because it was such a pain This app is AWESOME and EASY                 Love it

If youre looking for a great Ravelry companion app this isnt it Yeah you can do a lot of fun photo editing but thats it Wooly has photo editing options and can upload them directly to your Ravely projects as well but it also has additional interface with your account Put the 99 youd spend on this and put it towards Wooly        Not impressed go the extra mile and get Wooly

Quick upload directly to my projects on Ravelry A very nice feature However you cannot rotate or edit photos in any way Some projects look silly as I am laying down Also it might be helpful if my projects could be sorted in alphabetical order Currently they are in the order that I have them in my projects The best feature is the speed that items can be listed directly on Ravelry Many of the fixes have to do with large stash I dont use Ravelry as a marketplace so most of my stash is not listed           Yarma

I have only loaded this and noticed that on my ipad I cannot use it in the horizontal position It would be great to fix that           ipad issue

I love how easy this app makes it for me to upload stash and project pics to Ravelry Please please update the app now that Casey has fiddled with the stash feature to add fiber and spinning projects I tried to add to my fiber stash the other day and couldnt through the app Thanks                 Love it update

this works so well for yarn stash and project pictures but it needs to also have access to the fiber stash section of your ravelry account Please              update needed please

I have loved the idea and the function of this app since I found it however now it seems that the only thing it does is shut down when it is supposed to to be uploading to Ravelry Extremely frustrating              Love it BUT

Yarma makes it easy to get photos onto Ravelry stash and project pages It had a Flickr upload product as well but I havent tried it Yarma actually worksunlike other products Purported to work with Ravelry Create the entry for your stash addition or project before taking a photo with Yarmas camera icon or you wont have a page to upload to                 Great photo tool for Ravelers

Worked really flawlessly until about 6 months ago Now will not communicate with Flickr or ravelry Have tried every thing to fix with no luck Stinks        Worked well until about 6 months ago

I agree with other reviewersthis is SO much easier than using a camera and Flickr or other tool Very simple to use I installed on my iPad and selected a pic I already had A couple of clicks and there it was                 Easy least

Its useful for uploading pictures but you cant rotate or crop them so you have to do that in another app           Its useful

I used to adore this app but for the last month or so Ive been getting an error code when I try to up upload a photo to my stash I dont have a large stash and Ive tried uninstalling the app and redownloading it I dont know what else to do     Used to to love it

This is a simple elegant smooth way to upload your stash or projects to Ravelry I am not heavy into picture taking but this makes it so easy to upload pictures I am running around snapping all kinds of past projects and putting them on my Ravelry account I had a very small problem with the photos going from portrait to landscape without me knowing it until the picture displays I contacted untestedltd and sent documented descriptions of what I was encountering They tested and one problem occures from the way I am holding my iPad when I take the picture and the other comes from setting the iPad down after taking the picture They were very quick to respond and to help me solve the problem Thanks Untested ltd for developing a great product for all of us knitters so we can share our joys and sorrows Wonderful job                 Every serious Ravelry member needs this app

This is the perfect way to take quick photos on my iPhone and easily upload to Ravelry I love it                 Perfect

The only thing keeping it from 5 stars wish there was a way to turn off the flash              Love it

LOVE this app I use to never upload project pic or stash pics to raverly since I hated having to first upload them to a Flickr account I never used anymore and then onto Raverly With this app I can do it really quick and cut out the middle man Does have the option to save to Flickr and camera role if you wanted to Love the added bonus of being able to edit the pics Thanks Totally worth the 099                 Time savor

In the past this app has worked great for uploading to ravelry Now I get an error message when I try to link a photo to a project Boo I deleted the app and downloaded it again No change Help        Great app but something is up

I really do like this app and use it a lot My only wish is that the photos could be a tad smaller ie when I upload a photo to my project then share it on Rav in a comment its really really big A resize option would be terrific But that may be a Rav issue not Yarma All in all I love it Still loving this app Use it nearly daily Still wish the photos would upload to Ravelry in a smaller format though                 Love this app

I just recently starting using this and it has changed how I do things on Ravelry Now I cant wait to take stash photos or pictures of my projects This has been wonderful since Ive started to try and organize my projects and stash                 The best

I love this appwhen it works right For the last few weeks I have been having issues When taking a picture it takes about 5 tries before it takes When I go to upload it to rav the app crashes at least every other time I dont know who to contact for support so Im leaving my comment here Please fix the app for us Using it on my iPhone 5s           Picture issue

I loved this app until I had logged in my 1000th stash entry After that it is slow times out has random errors and just cant seem to handle it Ive contacted the developers and well they dont seem to want to put any effort into it these days Sad it works SO well when it does work When it doesnt work I just want to throw my iPhone down a dark deep well        NOT good if you have a large stash

It breaks when I try to take photos and upload them Also doesnt properly center them what I see is NOT what uploads Also cant upload fiber photos        Crashes a lot

this started out as a great app the ability to take a picture and upload it directly to your Ravelry if you knit or crochet you know Ravelry was absolutly great but the app has stopped working and there is no support now the fact that this review has to be 6000 characters long is totally stupid I say STUPID APPLE FIX IT     was a good app

Overall this is a decent app Love how it uploads directly to my Ravelry account However it has one major shortcoming no photo cropping feature I would have given it 5 stars if it could crop           Decent Needs cropping feature

Brainless to operate Since it is often difficult to get the colors right on a photo I appreciate that you can mess with the colors before you upload BUT I cant figure out why those options are listed as knitting terms Maybe Im brain dead but it took me forever to figure out that all those terms were color options I would suggest it be changed                 Great app no problems

I wanted a way to upload photos to revelry from my phone This does the trick nothing else Forces a square crop which was disappointing           Meh

I couldnt figure out why Id need or want this app but a friend convinced me to try it Im so glad I did Its so much easier to get pictures into Ravelry than any other method Try it youll like it                 You need it

Im in love with Yarma Makes it so easy to upload pix to Ravelry and being able to do it from my phone means Ill actually do it The only things I would say is that the filters are okay but much easier to use another app for better effect so unnessisary for me and it would be nice to be able to crop and rotate              Love this app

This app used to work great now Im getting error messages and the developers website is down Will probably end up removing this from my devices Too bad as it had been a four to five star app and now Id give it a zero Cant recommend this app unless the developer suddenly decides to start updating it again     Derelict app

Takes beautiful pictures and easily puts them on your Ravelry project page Yarma picture quality is richer than the pics Taken with iPad camera                 Brilliant app
