I first played The Journey Down a few years back when only chapter 1 was available and loved everything about it Now that all 3 chapters are out I m so excited to discover the rest of the story The main character Bwana with his mischievous personality and great sense of humor is quite a refreshing change from your typical hardened detective The supporting cast is fantastic as well The funky Afro noir game design is a treat for the eyes and the music is gorgeous and I don t even like jazz I love how despite the environments and plot being generally dark and mysterious all the characters are incredibly upbeat and fun to talk to And something I have to mention about the game mechanics is that your items stay with you after one use whether you may need them again or not it never made sense to me in other p c games when your character would leave behind a perfectly good tool after one use I m glad the developers here understood that I can t believe this amazing game has so few reviews Yes chapter 1 is a little short but the later chapters are much longer and definitely worth your money Check it out you won t regret it                     Immersive gorgeous and so much fun mirliu

The Journey Down remains one of my finest adventure gaming experiences on iOS The story is compelling the characters are likable and have depth the graphics are gorgeous the interface and controls are intuitive and well polished and the puzzles are challenging yet not frustrating and are all solvable without referencing a walk through with a little persistence Now that the entire story is complete and all three episodes are released I highly recommend playing this masterpiece of P C adventure gaming You won t be disappointed Big thanks to SkyGoblin for weathering the many storms of an indie development path and for their perseverance to conclude The Journey Down to reward all the players who have invested in and love this story You have my sincerest thanks                     Top Shelf Adventure gaming g1ove

Fantastic musical score beautiful art combo of hand drawn and computer animation fun puzzles that aren t too hard and a simple but engaging story to start off the first chapter can t wait to play the next My mom only negatives is it was kind of short though I m told the next chapter is 2x as long with the 3rd and final chapter being the best in terms of length and content so I can give it a pass as this was a small issue Dniester project that thankfully work out for them to make the 2 other chapters they wanted to tell the story and my other negative is beyond the the main voice acting some of the side characters are pretty badly recorded but this again can be forgiven PS Please developers update game for iOS 10 per Apple request so game will continue to work on future iOS generations                     Great point n click in tradition of grim fandango Dubs1

This is a good adventure game obviously inspired by Grim Fandango If you liked that you ll enjoy this one However the big problem is the voice acting which you can t turn off for some reason It s corny and borderline offensive with what appears to be white folks badly attempting Caribbean accents The worst example is the main character unfortunately He sounds like a Jamaican Bobcat Goldthwaite                     Good adventure game but bad voice acting Johnnyt471

This game surprised me in more ways than one I got this game when it was featured for free Overall it was a pretty interesting game and is most definitely worth playing Now to the nuts and bolts This game was oddly addictive Like other people have said it was hard for me to put it down only during those times I got frustrated with some of the puzzles I like the fact that the protagonist is a totally unexpected character an adventurous optimistic gas charter laborer embarking on a venture with a client to get pay off their debt from the power company Pretty unique plot I must say But there were a few kinks that irked me while playing this game I kind of wasn t a fan of some of the puzzles the game had Some were extremely hard to figure out especially if you don t listen to the dialogue I didn t necessarily skip the dialogue moments but I can t say I was completely tuned in to catch those nuances needed for the puzzles I mean the characters drone on and on they talk far too slow and their accents let s not go there Especially the character Lina Girl we don t have time for that long boring backstory A lot of people are saying that they really love the graphics and art design I m the odd one out in this one I find the characters faces EXTREMELY creepy And the graphics are a bit choppy Not to mention their mouths don t ever move right at all And the voice acting Oh goodness gracious Come on definitely forced accents and some of the dialogue is beyond corny One of the sailors referred to alcohol as flufferoonie Um what Anyway I m giving this game 4 starts because I actually finished the first chapter loved the music score and really got into the game after it got started hang in there It s slow at first                 Surprisingly entertaining oddly challenging Papaya93

I agree with others that the game suffers from too much narration and storyline at the outset and it takes a while to make real progress The characters are also a bit grating in my perspective and the Jamaican rasta stereotype gets old fast After getting bored and stopping I picked it up again a few days ago and the good stuff starts about 15 20 minutes into gameplay By good I mean it became an entertaining old school point and click adventure game and I was actually enjoying the reggae soundtrack by the end I have already purchased Chapter 2                 Slow going at the start but hang in there jennifer626
