SlotRush has a lot of potential The iPodiPhone controller option is nifty There are plenty of track and vehicle options The AI difficulty is selectable for a fair race But what drags it all down is the horrible framerate This is a 2D game with incredibly tiny sprites Why does the game stutter so badly There are games that run smoother in full 3D on the 3GS I so very much want to like this game but right now I feel like I wasted 99 Its still new Perhaps in an update they can smooth it out        Looks great in still images

I grew up playing slot cars so I was interested when I saw this game There is a nice selection of different tracks and vehicles to choose from The game does a good job of simulating the slot car racing experience you really have to watch your speed around turns or youll just fly off the track One of the interesting variations in this game is the action items which are things like oil slicks that can make you lose control The fact that you can play two players on one ipad is nice especially with the addition of being able to use your ipod touchiphone for a wireless controller The graphics look nice and make it easy to see what is going on The touch controls work well and offer two types of control with both a slide controller and button controls Overall this is a fun slot car race experience that should appeal to any fan of slot cars                 A blast from the past made anew
