Weird to navigate way back when I first downloaded it now you cant even use the free patterns button to get to the free patterns page not found error Pretty sure they decided to abandon this app and not tell anyone     Not supported anymore

None of the links works Even when it did work you cant access favorite patterns nor can you save a pattern to favorites     Doesnt work

I like the variety of patterns and ability to download or print              Great find

very disorganized Needs some serious work Lion Brand is WAY better     Not user friendly

I enjoy working with red heart yarns I love their price and quality I am currently in a granny square project mood from bags to blankets to baskets and the sturdiness if the super saver is great This app would be a gazillion times better if you had a favorites or was able to bookmark or flag patterns Going from the app to safari to kindle is just silly Also a search function would be helpful Thank you I look forward to the update           Red heart fan

I had use this application for the past year and work fine but with the last update it became very very slow and I cant see any patterns because is not downloading fast enough and sometimes it crashes please fix it     So disapointed

This is a good App but I feel it lacks some things I would like to be able to look up patterns by their recommended yarn type Furthermore it would be nice to be able to refine my search even further Example crochetwhos it forkids I would like to be able to take that a step further an be able to pick afghan accessory clothing toy etc rather than have to wade through every pattern The website is much more in depth and easier to search through than than the App For this reason I rarely use the App           Nice but needs improvement

Needs to be better organized and easier to manage favorites        Could be better

The toolbar was missing so I couldnt search or browse for anything After scrolling through a few pages of the introduction the header bar went missing also I had to just delete the app     Doesnt work

I think its great that you offer an app however it hasnt been updated since 2011 Im sorry to say that its basically useless Please update it     Cant use it

This app is frustrating It has potential I was patient with it but in the end got annoyed with the loading speed and the fact I cant save patterns seriously     Bugsslow

The opening page of this app shows a 2012 project I do not think it is updated very often           Out of date

The app looks like it wants to be some version of the website but only about half of the screen will show up You cant get to anything useful It doesnt even fit the screen for any iPhone thats newer than the 4s Better to just use your web browser and look up the website I was really hoping this would be a cool way to carry a pattern with me but the app just isnt functional     Easier to just look at the website

I love the app and being able to search patterns on the go I just really with they would let you create an account so you can save patterns you like instead of having to research them all the time              Few changes needed

There are no patterns now no access to anything through the app and Im really disappointed makes me not want to use the website because using the pattern finder on the website isnt any better Im not impressed     Needs to be updated

The app is hard to navigate The look is old and outdated I like to look at the picture to see if I want to try the pattern however the images are so small I cant tell what patterns Im looking at Its not worth the effort Im deleting           Needs an update

It only connect to the web It is better to go directly the web site Lion yarns apps is 100 times better Love Red Heart but hate the app     Not worth the trouble

I came here to review this app to comment on how incredibly slow it runs I checked the reviews before posting and realized that I would only be echoing what was already stated more than once So with each review posted and obviously ignored red heart is telling its customers that we dont matter Such a shame when a company gets too big to remember who put them there     Red heart

I find the app extremely frustrating It moves very slowly and is not user friendly I cant even simply refine my search I will be using lion brand instead It is a much better app     Now totally frustrated

I love this AP and use it frequently on my phone However now that I have my iPad I would love if you would make an AP for it I must say that Lion Brand is on it already It would be nice to have my patterns available that way as well Just improve on an already excellent product              An iPad AP maybe

I really liked this app to start but it needs some work You can not view or savebookmark a pattern from the app You have to go online to see the patterns which closes the app then to save the pattern you have to open it in iBooks which closes Safari but leaves a page open Then to look for more patterns you have to close iBooks or Safari and reopen the Red Heart app Then I clicked on one of the products in a pattern it took me to the Red Heart store and I never could figure out how to get back to the pattern I had been looking at I was just stuck in the store           Just OK

I used to use the RH app frequently but after the update it will probably be deleted There is no navigation to get around smoothly I was looking up a pattern and am unable to zoom into the pattern and there is no option to open it into a new window browser or in iBooks There is no way for me to read a pattern on my phone when it is pattern display is FULL PAGE and taken only half of my screen so there is no way to read the pattern at all     Not user friendly at all

But Im having the same problems as everyone else Its very slow but I do like saving patterns to iBooks That way I can access them without an Internet connection I really wish there was a search option There are so many patterns but its impossible to find what Im looking for Needs an update           I really want to like this app

I havent gotten very far into the app so I cant comment on the content and such But it needs to be updated to fit the iPhone 5 screen Its a major thumbs down for me when an app doesnt fill the entire screen        Needs update

I have been using this app for a few years and I loved it for its easeofuse However recently there must have been an update because now it does not work The update of the app is just horrible Before it was so easy to find what you were looking for even without a search option Now when you tap on the patterns button it sends you to a page that says page not found and you have to navigate through that page which is not formatted to fit on an iPad screen to get to the patterns I absolutely hate what was done to this app So now instead of using the app I just go to the Red Heart website get patterns And Ive been using the Lion Brand app more     What happened to my app

Way too complicated to use for a phone app Its supposed to be simpler than the website but is more difficult to use Then theres various bugs to deal with     Terrible

It would be nice to have a yarn calculator on the App        Yarn Calculator Needed

I have always loved Red Heart patterns but this app is for Angry birds I ale or threw my Phone out the window Slow wont Click through sooooo frustrating and Not be able to open pattern in IBooks Or be able to sign in and save to favorites     OMG HOW FRUSTRATING

UPDATED June 2013 seriously redheart No search or save option YET You know that on LBYs app you can favorite patterns save them directly to your phone or iPad INSIDE the app and even buy supplies right from the app right Its like youre the crotchety grandpa of the yarn makers Bah This Internet whoozit Its not going to last Books and fliers Thats what we need Print more fliers Come on join the twentyfirst century Most of us dont bite So the app is pretty userfriendly and easy to navigate through what there is of it I LOVE that I can save patterns as PDF files in my kindle app I understand you can also save them in your nook or iBooks apps Theyre easy to print HoweverId like to be able to save them in Knitminder so I can keep track of the pattern as I work it Also I was looking for a shell afghan crochet pattern I had to scroll through every single page to find what I wanted I wish there were a search option Can this please be the next update If it were Id probably give this app five stars I havent had any crashing or viewing problems     Tried really hard to like it

App has not been updated for years apparently All it gives is blank screens and page not found messages Red Heart should remove this until they make another working app Annoying and makes RH look a bit foolish     Entirely out of date

Like this app and glad they added more patterns but you can only browse not search PLEASE ADD A SEARCH FUNCTION           Add search function

When is this going to be updated I have had this app for along time now there is nothing on it but some videos I would really like to use it again All my favorites have disappeared its really annoying I have to actually go on the website to find anything You could do better with this     UPDATE

I love Red Heart but my eyes can not read the very fine print in the PDF in this IPhone I put it in IBooks and it was much worse Please make the pattern reading more compatible for the mobile phone I should not have to stretch the page Lion Brand got it right     Red Heart IPhone App

This app is awful Its easier just to go to the website and explore then pin to Pinterest There is now save or back button and you cannot zoom in on patterns to read anything     Dont waste your time

This is an awesome app The only thing that would make this better is if they would add a search option to make it faster to research a pattern Another app you might try if you want more patterns is called Lion Brand Yarn Just type that name up and it should be the first thing that pops up I use both apps and have plenty if projects I want to accomplish I give it two thumbs up                 Great

Lots of patterns for beginners Nice that the PDFs can be downloaded to iBook Plus you cant beat the price                 Very helpful to a newbie

Red heart is great yarn but this app needs some work Hopefully some updates will come out soon When searching for knitting patterns I got other types of crafts mixed in Right now a competing brand of yarn has a much better app        Needs some work

Ok now Im really getting frustrated with this app If u can see my previous review I was trying to save my patterns to my home screen but it didnt work as well as I liked But then I found I could open the patterns up in the Kindle App on my phone But heres my new issue I recently updated the Kindle App now all my patterns are gone Ugh Not sure how else I can save these patterns on my phone not lose them I have yarn for projects that were outlined in these patterns This will be the third time that Ill have to go through Red Hearts app browse for these patterns Red Heart please fix these issues within this app 1 Include a search feature so the user doesnt have to go through every single project 2 Create a Favorites button so you can save the selected pattern it be readily accessible while in the store purchasing yarn retrieving the pattern when going to complete the project     A little disappointed frustrated

Not only is this app extremely slow but its frustrating that the only way to save a pattern for later is to save it as a PDF to iBooks That clutters up my phone and is harder to read than something formatted for an iPhone screen Also in my experience this app crashes a lot Personally Im deleting it and using the Lion Brand app Much more user friendly        Not worth the time
