The PlantNet is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is available in multiple languages: English, French. It weighs in at only 2.8 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0 has been released on 2014-11-23. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. It just doesnt work Most photos most species simply do not load I so want this app to work Great idea But

This app cant even match an African violet or an orchid Pointless

With an iPhone and a few snaps it identified a bouncing bess as its first guess and a mediterranean redbud as a third suggestion in the list from the leaf alone Way faster than trying to look it up in a book Worked for me

Took crystal clear photos of common flowers and the app could not identify a single one Not only that it didnt even present any of them on the provided pictorial list Here are the flowers I tested Pink Peonies White Peonies Mountain Laurel Tulips Impatiens Hydrangeas Zinnia Nasturtiums Tiger Lily The app has serious potential but as of now its useless Would be great if it worked

I like the idea of identifying pictures youve taken of plantsflowers but it doesnt work I retrieved a picture of a common rose and it did not recognize it When looking at their database of plants the only info you are given is the botanical name Not enough for me Good concept

I was very excited to use this app although Ive come to hate it The search engine application and sharing of observations made are definitely confusing and inaccurate There is absolutely no simplicity or helpful interaction with plant names or searches The validity of whats posted is not validated or resolved through professional opinion nor is the search engine or manual placement of plant names easy to apply Please change this up I love the idea and concept of this app It needs to be made easier for plant lovers that Dont have a keen eye Annoyed

It states in the guide that it only is usable for the French metropolitan flora Im not in France so Im not sure how accurate it is but I wont be trying it here because it specifically states its for the local French flora only Read about app before reviewing

I read the reviews before downloading and was pleasantly surprised It has not crashed and has worked quite well for me I have done several searches now and it has helped me identify several flowers in my yard I had to do a little digging through the long list of results but I was successful Thanks Great

Did not ID poison ivy Not only that it doesnt even have poison ivy in the library Great idea but its a terrible app Even if it worked the UI is terrible You cant vcompare your photo to the search results because you have to scroll down to view the results Meaning there is no sidebyside view before you submit a contribution No way to remove contributions either Generally there are no clear instructions the intro just a list of features It also requires your location all the time always Why do you need my location every second of the day Does not work

Do NOT download the app PlantNet to your phone or notebook It does NOT identify plants for you It gives you incorrect suggestions for you to browse through These suggestions are nowhere near what you take a picture of It might be free but it is not worth your time to download Not worth it

I had high hopes when I found this app but it is worthless so far I tested it on 4 of my plants and it was wrong on all of them I hope this can be fixed because I love the idea behind it I had high hopes

I thought this would be awesome to have in order to learn the various blooms they have at our local arboretum It was incorrect 100 of the time I tried on flowers already identified to test accuracy When that didnt match I thought maybe the labels were wrong on the flowers However NONE of the pictures that appeared matched the flowers I tried to identify It was more of a hassle than anything Bummer

I wish I can have a profile where I can specify where I am which will make it easier to pin point what Im looking at there is a very aromatic plant that makes good tea might be medicinal here in the Sierra Nevadas I cant for the life of me find it anywhere was hoping this app would do it This would be a great app

As a trial I took a great photo of a yellow dwarf marigold I got all kinds of suggestions as to what it might be None were even close Took a photo of Bee Balm Again none of the suggestions were even close This app is a waste of time Waste of Time
