Take a spin through space with Planetarium. Visit all of the major bodies that make up our solar system and the 88 International Astronomical Union Constellation, tumble the camera around, zoom in for a close-up or ...
This app is way cool I totally enjoy working it I discovered more in an hour on this app than I have in a life time of trying to understand our solar system and how it works The visual relationships between the various planets and their moons tells a story that cannot be matched in any other way Being able to control time speed it up or slow it down and do the same in reverse by using a slide bar being able to zoom in or out from a closeup of a small moon to seeing the whole solar system and their orbits with flawless motion all seem to work magically This program is truly amazing                 Wonderful
Exquisitely beautiful but not just eye candy Careful proportioning justright pacing thoughtful perspectives when traveling between bodies articles about everything shown and simple controls make this by far the best orrery in the store It is the only one to truly give a sense of the relative distances Automatically zooming to an overview perspective when changing between planets is a stroke of genius Quite a fine piece of coding Those planets are rendered rotatable objects not flat photographs Superb conception and execution truly worthy of Five Stars One fix for an update make the planets less hyperactive when I dont want to rotate them                 Best Orrery
I Love this app it is elegant It is educational Most of all it is lovely to watch great job                 Planetarium
There is no way to give it a specific time You are given choice of timeRATES real time speeded up speeded back but no way to set the time No year no month no nothing To me that makes it worthless I want to see what Jupiter is doing NOW not just have the ability to watch balls whirl around it Graphics are not much to write home about either While looking at earth you can clearly see Jupiter completely too large in the background You cant zoom in enough either Saturns rings are not accurately drawn They start and stop too close to the planet making it look rediculous     actually its terrible
This is an extremely well done app I love learning about the solar system and was looking for a good app to buy on the subject I am highly impressed with the exquisite graphics and fluid movements Well worth the asking price                 Simply Beautiful
This app is good but it needs something more like some stars and the nearest other galaxy That would make it awesome but other than that great graphics and lots of good info on the planets and moons              Okay
Finally an update yet nothing has been fixed There is still that glaring error that makes it look as though those that wrote the app are less than amateurs and care nothing for accuracy in astronomy If you click on Saturn and observe the moons shown below you will see Lapetus Lapetus Thats just a really dumb error and should have been corrected long ago its iapetus with a capital i NOT an L Also there seems to be no way to switch back out of orrery view once youve gone there     Inaccurate worthless
It makes a fun way to show kids how the moons go around the planets and the planets go around the sun Lots of little things they could add to make it better but it is already very good and stable              very well done and a pleasure to browse the solar system with
Im very impressed with the smoothness and speed and beauty of the solar system as rendered by this amazing app Very nice I more impressed with the iPhone when I see apps like this Totally worth the money if youre into planets and 3D rendering etc Really a fun and beautiful way to visit all the planets with ease and now you can even visit the constellations in 3D and see them from the outside of our known starmaps something I havent seen except in Celestia on a desktop computer This is a must have app                 GREAT update love the retina display
Wow Ive been waiting for the iPad app Definitely worth the wait The screens that were beautiful on the iPod are absolutely stunning on the iPad                 Beautiful
I dont review iPhone apps often but this one got my attention Fluid gesture controls crisp graphics accurate data and informative articles come together in this beautifully coded piece of software Only a couple suggestions for future versions 1 if its possible upping the detail on the planet surfaces would be awesome Not that it isnt already great But Id love a sort of Google Earth zoom in type effect on some of the planets ie when the article mentions Io having over 400 active volcanos itd be great to be able to see at least a bit more surface detail on the image 2 itd be nice to have an option to be able to travel from planet to planet directly and a bit more slowly rather than pulling out fast and pulling back in real fast Mind you a cool effect and definitely gives us a great snapshot of scope and distance So dont remove this itd just be cool to have the option to switch back and forth between the two modes of travel 3 your competitors Corecoders a much crappier app has imo the better image of the sun Though I appreciate the detail yours has again Id like to be able to switch between the two views Theirs is closer to the way the sun would actually appear mind you without inducing blindness to the naked eye from space and seems to bring with it a greater sense of awe 4 It may be my imagination but there dont seem to be nearly enough stars Again Corecoders seemed to have done a better job at this even though their software is the inferior of the two                 fantastic piece of software
Truely a great app Quite lovely in every way Worth five stars and its asking price My only request to the developer is to include the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter Perhaps the milkyway as well Keep up the great work                 Stunning
I am a professional 25 years astronomy educator I feel obligated to buy pretty much all astronomyrelated apps for the iPhone iPad This app looked promising from the iTunes page and for 2 I figured what do I have to lose Well theres two dollars down the drain Nonintuitive UI Cant specify a time date or a location Orbit of the Moon is wrong both in terms of its scale size to Earth and its orientation to the Earths orbit around the Sun 3D position of stars when viewing constellations implies that the stars are A LOT closer to us than they actually are In short its actually antieducational There are better orrery apps available Dont waste your two bucks on this     Inaccurate NOT Intuitive
After reading the reviews I decided to buy this app I am NOT disappointed A well done nicely put together app Great graphics                 Good Stuff
