Dont understand some of the negative reviews There were a couple hiccups but worked as it should You actually dont have to upload photos to google to have them display This actually seems to be outside of google ecosystem Cant wait to have a number of folks uploading and doodling photos at a party                 Works as it should

Its just not gonna happen Youre 5 years late to the game People are already tired of sharing every aspect of their life with Big Brother Ive already paid you for my Chromecast now just let me use it in peace without finding ways to force me to sign up for Google     Stop it with the Google already

Did you even test the update This thing is so buggy its unrealistic especially coming from Google I cant even sign in which seems totally unnecessary When attempting to opening Safari brings up Chrome then either way it just loads a black screen Who cares about UI when you cant even sign in     Fail update

The photowall app simply redirects you to photowall on the web then makes you upload ONE PHOTO AT A TIME What the what Then after 510 seconds waiting for the photo to upload requires you to edit or choose not to edit If you choose to add a caption it places in LARGE CAPITAL LETTERS across the middle of the pic you want to view its not a caption its an opaque watermark If you want to display more than a couple pictures this app is probably not for you For me when I want to display pics on a 70 big screen via chromecast its to display more than one or two pics Sorry I truly do not get the usecase of this app Add the ability to upload several pictures at a time without having to edit them or look at an edit decision interstitial page and you might have a winner     Great idea terrible implementation

I too was disappointed by the black screen of death Inspiration struck and I downloaded Chrome browser from the AppStore Success Now all I need is a tripod for my photo booth If your friends want in on the action they will need Chrome and a google account Maybe I missed that you need these two things in the description                 It works If you figure it out

This is probably the best app made for chromecast I have ever seen Theres not a lot out there for chromecast Made for Those of us that spent money on this useless dongle instead of Apple TV                 Brilliant just brilliant

Your TV screen will be filled with so many images that it can make a visual mess of good photos Other issues Everyone must login to Google which is not convenient for those that dont have an account Photos must be uploaded to Google even if youre not going to have it produce a video Captions have just one size are all uppercase and cannot be moved to the side of the image This app basically just launches a browser instead of being a good selfcontained app I now use a different app that has a cleaner presentation and doesnt require a login or photo upload     Disappointing on so many levels

The chromecast has such potential I had high hopes of an app finally facilitating a tight integration between my phone and TV This is far from it Im also not sure why photowalls capability isnt core to google since you spend all your time outside of the app anyway     Clunky and unpolished

Why do I have to login to show my own photos And I got 500 error after authorization page I have pixocast and it doesnt have this complex requirement           Internal server error

I love the idea but the execution is well not ready yet You cant reenter a session and the app forces you to log in again and again dont make be do your gamma testing I come back for beta Otherwise great idea I have high hopes for this thx           Were coming closer

The app wants to make sure Im not a robot by making me sign in to google plus To send photos 5 feet to my own tv Where can I buy this robot that google is so concerned about using this app The app does connect well to my chromecast but that is all I can test Take a pass and dont bother downloading     More force fed google bilk

Connected to the chromecast on my network and the next thing this app wants is the password for a gmail account Why should I need a password to send my pictures from my ipad to my chromecast This is truly a worthless app Bad enough they sold me a device called chromecast that cant even cast a page from chrome itself on the ipad So much for truth in advertising     negative 5 rating not available

This app should go into the garbage The app forces you to sign in to your google account from your device for nothing You have to upload photos one by one from your device browser To add injury to the insult this crappy app doesnt remember the stuff you uploaded Then why sign in and go through all that trouble So they can send you a crappy video with the photos The video is a sorry knockoff from Facebooks timeline video Google please close this project and redo it I want the app to let me upload multiple photos from my camera roll without signing in AND if you Have to force me to sign in be there a REAL REASON for it For example the app could remember the photos I uploaded OR pick them up from my Google backup This app as it is Today is pure and unadulterated stinky crap     Bad bad bad

Apple TV has this beat Cant choose photo to show at a specific time Horrible for family viewing of iphone pictures Ok for viewing a bunch of photos from a bunch of random devices Most likely used at a company party I guess        Very limited

Uncertain why the negative reviews Perhaps some people are missing the point Seems that the apps soul purpose is to establish a connection to the chromecastwhich it does well After that its all browser based As some pointed out already the idea is that you set up a wall for others to send photos to via mobile web so others dont need an app to share photos to the wall Which makes it appealing to everyone at your party Essentially by setting up a wall you are the host Pretty cool simple and straight forward great for parties and events              Works Well

Once again Google is requiring that I allow them to manage my online life in order to use their Apps No way Get out of my way Google I and most people can manage ourselves I deleted the App so they cant worm their way into my info than they already have     Huge Disappointment

Before authorizing my account the appengine terms clearly state this is not an official product of Google Possibly an error a misunderstanding or misusage of appengine But no dice fellas     Official Google App Its says its not

Huge potential looks and sounds cool and then well you try to use it Black screens oh snap messages Welcome to something not even worthy of beta status Great idea and then wasted execution of it If on the off chance you get it to work it pretty cool but who has hours to play around and trudge through the random Oh Snap an error occurred messages where you cant post something but your identical other phone can and then wait the reverse happens Oh Snap we created a really stupid app we are sorry to have freaking wasted your time and our brand on it is what it should read     Epic Fail

Not at all what I expected Theres a cumbersome signin process everytime you want to use it and its not easy to understand     Horrible

I just want to stream one pic and have it occupy the TV screen It divides the one pic into a 12 section mosaic Who needs that And who needs to have Google keeping track of my every move     Screen divides into too many parts

This app is awesome Yes it moves you into the browser but thats the POINT People at your party dont have to download an app to participate Once you setup the Photowall everyone can easily share pics from the night This has a lot of potential for large evens and parties So stoked                 Surprised by all the negativity here

I have a 5S and this App will not allow me to sign in I get a blank screen where there should be a sign in screen Have tried numerous times with same result Deleting it     Will not allow me to sign in

The idea of this app is awesome but the execution isnt quite there You cant save any photos you take with the app so after uploading quite a few photos for a party we were at it froze and we lost everything and had to restart Very frustrating and not worth it        Froze and forced to restart

More often than not people have a gmail mail account and the app ran pretty smooth Would suggest multiple photo upload and dont ask to edit them on a multiple upload Also would be very cool if you could play a closed wall as a slideshow loop instead of the Chromecast default images           Pretty cool idea

Besides the glitchesit takes forever to get enough photos on the tv to no have one up there 5 times Once you do its amazing and wonderful quality But it doesnt save it If I spend time doing this I want to be able to push a button to bring it all back     So close

Was hoping it would let me show photos from my phone on the Chromecast Instead it took me through a setup that let me upload photos but never put them on the TV And asked me to download Chrome on my phone Basically a Google ad Not useful     Useless
