There really is potential here but it needs more work The data is stored server side but as we progress the app takes up more and more space on our device and we have to delete it and reinstall from the App Store with greater and greater frequency We are currently 18 letters in on part 1 of 2 for kindergarten We are using the app in conjunction with the print curriculum so still making progress but I kind of wish there was a parental way to skip lessons as we sometimes work through a good chunk on paper and it would help if I could progress from where we are rather than having every activity locked At first my child was excited to do the lessons but some of the listening ones like the jack in the box or pig laughing are getting old and she has started to refuse to do some specific ones Also the pronunciation of the phonic sounds includes a very strong shwa or a vowel like saying rah for R rather than urh in songs and videos which the written text instructs to be careful not to include It s frustrating to experience the contradiction             So much potential truthscribe722

We could never get this app passed the first screen I tried getting support I wrote to the company via email they never responded I canceled before the trial time was over I continued to get charged unbeknowst to me under subscriptions even though I canceled I am highly dissatisfied     Never worked and charged after cancelation Homeschool Mumma

Our daughter loves this app but on the first floor and the second painting we got to the 10th activity where you write the letter A When we select the activity the app immediately closes We restarted multiple times with no success Frustrated that we paid for an app with such poor functionality     App has trouble working mlwalton

We have LOVED this app However more times than not we cannot get past the log in screen It says it is logging us in but it never gets past that screen It s so frustrating because we are willing to pay the monthly fee but we will have to cancel if we can t even get into the program We don t want to cancel                     Will not sign us in DaJube

Phonics Museum is one of the best apps available in terms of content My kids love it and find it very motivating My only complaint is that it s somewhat glitchy It often freezes on the middle of a game We have to shut down the app and restart it to make it work That slows down the learning and the fun UPDATE I ve lowered my rating to one star because the app no longer works I ve contacted customer service several times and they seem unable to resolve the issue It s very disappointing because it has the potential to be an awesome app     Great App Aggie Momma '03

Unlike some of the reviewers my daughter doesn t beg to use the phonics app that s more just her personality though However once I convince her to use it I can t give her a good reason to stop playing really learning from the Phonics Museum And she won t let me give her a good reason She insists on playing it for as long as I ll let her Do you want your child at four to tell you what a Consonant Digraph is and be able to explain it to you Do want your child to be able to start writing and reading as early as four with virtually little time on your part yet being able to rest assured that the teacher Miss Biddle is a good influence If so this is the app for your child It s a terrific experience for our girl by using various sorts of education techniques songs talking lessons and an array of activities Five stars without doubt Definitely worth the price                     Amazing app for that your child will love adamtcalvert

My 3 year old loves this app and we work with it daily I don t pressure her to read but she is very self motivated and just read her first book the other day I was also very impressed to discover that she can accurately write almost all of the letters as well                     My 3 year old is reading within a month Savethecamels

My son absolutely loved it and I was super excited However we were unable to finish the first lesson because the app stopped responding I received a response from the developer and downloaded the newest revision to the app It s been working great so far I m very impressed with the App I have homeschooled at times and seen lots of curriculum This is great stuff Wish it had been around when my older 4 kids were this age Bravo                     App not responding 5fish4me

I purchased this app hoping it was compatible with the phonics museum curriculum I purchased 5 years ago and it is not The curriculum was updated and lost the biblical teaching As long as I am teaching my children I may as well use tools that have a focus this doesn t The App ran well when we first installed it on my IPhone 5c But the more levels my children completed the more issues it had It might just be to large an app for my device     No longer Christian 10, 7, and 5

While programs such as this often have bugs to work out this one has given us no trouble technologically It is designed intuitively and kindergartners can easily navigate its paces plus our 3 and 1 year olds watch fixatedly along with their elder sister I have to recommend supplementing physical paper handwriting and book reading to fill out the student s knowledge but the app does a fantastic job at covering the material                     Keeps students engaged longforvalinor

This app has worked well no complaints My son loves it always asking to do first thing in the morning Miss Biddle and Percival are his favorite as are all the songs and activities that he goes through in the app He s learning to pick out letters and make the appropriate sounds already and he s only 4                     Great app jr_brooks

When this works it is a worthy app Unfortunately it doesn t work often and functions more a beta level or that of a free app Certainly not worthy of a monthly premium     Not reliable enough to be a paid app Mother of a frustrated child.

I saw the reviews that it didn t work well on older devices but assumed that it would just be slow It locked up my whole iPhone 5 but I was able to sign up and start the free trial I then tried to log in using my newer iPad and if I use the log in from my phone it says I need to pay If i try to do a free trial under a different email the App Store tells me I already have a free trial I wasn t able to review the app itself because I couldn t even get started     Can t use it Hew126

My kids age 4 and 2 and I love the Phonics Museum app when it works It s amazing It s engaging enough for my little attention spanned 2 year old and reaffirms all I teach my 4 year old with the Phonics Museum curriculum The issue is after a few weeks of using it it won t even load I have updated my phone the app turned my phone off then on uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing We pay 10 a month and expect the app to work When it s works I sing it s praises When it hasn t worked I sent and email and no reply so I am hoping the rating will get my issues fixed     I love it when it works Hiranogrl

We LOVE this app We use the Phonics Museum program but my daughter was struggling to connect things I found this app and it has helped so so much I cancelled abcmouse and switched to this and I am thrilled with the switch                     Awesome npullen

This app has been great My son just started Kindergarten this year and he loves this app He is only 8 weeks into school and he is already reading thanks to this app Some of our older devices had trouble playing this app We loaded it onto a newer device and didn t have so much trouble The videos are short and move quickly to the next activity which keeps his attention We did find some of the reading books to be a little too long but with a little more patience we get through them                     Love this app Legal!

The load time for each new museum lesson is way way too long instructions videos are too long the child is loosing patience and just wants to get on with the lessons and games but her interest is lost way before she can even get to it I need a better reading game than this she too quick witted for this         Lots of dissatisfaction for the child vivvieanna

We love this app It s so much more than just a game for kids Through the Phonics Museum children will use all the senses to learn review and use the phonics sounds The visuals are nice with classic works of art and images from history The live action segments are my daughter s favorite I like that she gets handwriting practice right on screen This is a true learning experience and works with up to 3 children for the price                 Worth the price ChessMister44
