Okeanos is an audio-visual application that you can play easily by touching on the screen. A sound and a visual effect will be changed according to the position you touch. A sound theme will be ...
An interesting experimental audiovisual app but I probably wont use it much at all unless I figure out how to control what sounds I want a bit more Some of the samples are very reminiscent of Nurse With Wounds Sylvia Babs album Some are orchestral some noisy It seems very random in regards to what samples are chosen probably the creators point It seems like one sample gets cut off when you start a new one It would be nice if they layered more Also some samples have a fast stutter effect that is a bit to chaotic for me It is probably more suited to those wanting to create more of an avant garde experimental sound The audio sample quality seems good enough and the visuals a nice enough           experimental randomness
While Okeanos is visually pleasing the was aural aspect is a bit curious The sample quality is OK Your sample selection however seems to be randomly assigned each time you load the app So far I have received ambient orchestral choral and rock samples Playback is also hard to predict Sometimes it echoes the whole sample sometimes just a second of it sometimes in reverse I think that is the intention of this app though to be experiential to be chaotic I will not fault the app for this However the developer has omitted seemingly crucial features including multisample playback triggering another sample stops the current sample and using the accelerometer to modulate playback I have not tried the Internet functionality yet           Hmm
