I like that their is a kids mode and the videos have been reviewed Some videos don t work or the app is slow             Needs Work SJ123tx2013
I love the concept of the app I am tired of all the egg suprise videos finger family etc on youtube kids But my child has a very hard time navigating this app The buttons are very small and difficult to press on the iPad and he ends up frustrated The youtubekids app has an excellent UI that this app could benefit from                 Great concept hard to navigate Chealy92
My kids love watching videos online They had been using YouTube kids but I didn t like the ads toy unboxing videos videos with questionable content or lack of filters for my younger child I read about Jellies from a Reddit article and loved the idea I downloaded the app the next day I had some issues with getting the app to work properly on an iPad I emailed the Jellies Tech Support team and had a response within the hour About 20 emails and one test version of the app later we figured out the issue it was on my end not an app issue Sorry Ken and now it works just like it should I could not be happier and have recommended the app to family and friends Thanks for making a safe quality app for my children                     Great App and AMAZING Tech Support Nursing26
Sounds like a good idea but no easy way to see if the videos are any good Give us a chance to test drive it Think freemium Thanks for the response Here is where I disagree 1 At the start I don t know you or your products A 30 day trial creates mental stress to act now and to remember to cancel I don t have time or interest for either 2 I test apps for my kids when I have time and I install them when they are ready Unless you offer a freemium option I will never evaluate your products and the app will get deleted In eight years I have never purchased a product that requires me to sign up first and I have probably reviewed 600 700 apps 3 You compete with YouTube Kids There is no chance to compete on the amount of content You have to find a way to make the experience match or beat free and universally available     Needs a way to try 19283747
Edit let the tone deaf developer reply be a warning Obviously simplicity is key in an app made for children but this isn t a baby sitter not all videos are suitable for all occasions and children are anything but passive observers Parents will be interacting with this app for their children and it sure would be nice to know how long a particular video is to know how much time is left in a video to be able to find favorite videos easily and to be able to place a time limit on the viewing session It would also be nice if the videos were displayed properly and not cut off on the iPhone X The developer could have delivered the exact same service better and for free by just creating their own youtube channel Which is essentially what this is but you ve got to pay 5 a month and are forced to use their underwhelming app And I question the authenticity of the other reviews Boom Obviously they re just getting the app off the ground and I m sure it ll improve but there s much to do I m sure the developer would use the curated playlists as justification for the monthly fee and that s a solid point but the app itself is lacking to such a degree that it offsets that benefit The lack of polish ruins the experience and no amount of quality content will make it worth a monthly cost There s no way to put a time limit on viewing from inside the app you can do it through guided access if needed video duration isn t displayed in video or on browsing menus this is handy info for a parent who might be looking for a video of a certain length or might be interested in knowing how much time is left in a video the video player is missing everything It s not been formatted for the iPhoneX screen and so maybe things are cut off and I just can t see them but there s no way to skip forward or backward in videos No options for subtitles and where subtitles are available they re cutoff The video player is just awful Awful there s no way to favorite videos or create custom playlists Kids may not need this functionality but as a parent it d be nice to have Anyone who s had to spend 5 10 minutes with their kid just to find a video they want to watch knows it nice to have a place to find their favorites ready to go The list goes on Anyone moving from the YouTube app or YouTube kids will find this app extremely lackluster And it s not like this is custom content sure it s been curated but these are youtube videos you re watching I appreciate the need their trying to fill but the app is half baked at best and so I couldn t recommend anyone I hope they cease charging anyone money until they ve finished fleshing out the app That d be the right thing to do     Not ready yet DaveFromBmore
Update This works with my iPhone on the latest 11 iOS However my kids iPad is not the newest and can only be updated to 9 3 5 as the maximum This app crashes on this iOS version and doesn t work Update2 Well I ve got to say I m pretty impressed with this developer Response time was quick and they fixed their issue with the iPad Happy consumer here                     Crashes on iPad 9 3 5 Zoover86
Like the idea but you have to pay to watch anything nope     Gotta Pay Slarvey
I don t have kids of my own but when my friends come to visit with their kids or drop them off so they can have an evening of freedom it can sometimes be a challenge to keep the little ones entertained in a way that keeps both them and their parents happy Jellies is awesome I don t have to worry about what they re watching or if an inappropriate video comes up next when I leave the room for a second Everyone s happy                     Perfect for when the kids come to visit charmcitygavin
I love that all the content has been curated by hand it s so nice to have that piece of mind It s a great value because of the level of control it provides and has tons of videos my nieces and nephews enjoy                     Win win for parents and kids SRL20
Knowing my kid won t be exposed to inappropriate videos or ads is reassuring Parent vs kids mode is great and easy to navigate                     Awesome jlee414
Jellies checks all the boxes of what I want in a video app for my kids People not machine curated content No inappropriate ads actually no ads at all A simple and fun interface The above and more made it a really simple decision to replace my kids existing video app with Jellies                     I can finally stop doing the YT Kids Don t watch that ad dash Jaz G
In a world going crazy more and more and algorithms being learned and manipulated Jellies is a wonderful dosage of simple child friendly goodness                     Curation Done Right MrMoosh
Great for parents who don t want to worry about scary inappropriate videos in their kids apps Parents get to pick the topics and hand the phone off to the kiddos for them to explore Educational and fun videos New videos added all the time                     Good fun and safe videos Bensonenson
Downloaded the app on iPad When I open the app it starts to load up then shuts the program down     Doesn t work Boy gee
