Whats up with the super dark pics Ive seen videos and the color pictures are cool and this has them come out super dark Im disappointed If youre thinking about getting this right now DONT You can achieve something better with a black and white filter I love the idea behind this app but the results were disappointing     Dont get this until updated

I heard it was taking forever to get the pictures back to you but now the problem is solved It took less than a minute to send me my picture with the super cool effect I must praise the people who came up with this its an amazing concept that weve never seen before Anyhow if you are frustrated because of the waiting times be patient Unlike the other photo editing apps which function right in your device by adding digital overlays instaCRT takes your picture into a trip to the real world and back                 Great

Tried three times to submit a photo and it hasnt worked yet It may be due to demand however there doesnt seem to be anyway to pickup the photo or have it emailed to you It doesnt seem like this was thought through all the way     Ripoff

If this is really being done in the analogue way they describe it must be only me thats using it as its so immediate Or maybe they bought every old video camera and CRT in the country Heavy handed with no finessing controls        Really

Would love more control over look and crop but for what it is incredibly simple and 100 authentic crt effect this app is beyond neat I look forward to future versions that perhaps might have a choice of CRTs to send the image through or something awesome maybe that I havent even thought of At least I hope for them Pros Super simple and easy to use Quick and responsive Awesomely authentic effect Cons 299 is a lot for an app though it is doing a lot to be fair Limited or no control over look Its kind of a see what you get kind of thing which is kind of the fun of it Recommendation Buy This crap is awesome              Great app room to improve though

The weirdest app ever but I love it Wait time has been short 3060 seconds but there were a few days before when the app was bogged down with huge traffic from BoingBoing et al The results are really unique Read all my reviews on crosswalk                 love it

Takes about 45 seconds to get my picture back It does crop the photo though so I use Juxtaposer load a black background then load my pic and shrink it Then I run it through this app and it crops the black background and not the pic I wanted filtered in the first place              Not too shabby

I have just downloaded it as of June 19th and maybe I should give it a few days to sink in but this is the first time Ive been compelled to review an app First a previous reviewer had mentioned not being able to save to your phones library without having to email it to yourself I believe the app automatically saves the image in the background along the same lines as instagram and in addition to that gives you the various sharing options someone correct me if Im wrong It works exactly as described and considering the fact my file is sent across the world photographed and then sent back to me 25 seconds is nothing Even if I had to wait an hour Id be okay with carefully choosing a photo and letting it cook while I was off doing something else I dont understand the complaints about lack of control Again your image is sent to a physical CRT monitor photographed and sent back to you where in that process would you like to tweak things Just use some other emulated app if you want to toggle sliders all day I like the simplicity of the app on my end the creators end is slightly different All I can say is I love the concept and I love the CRT textures in the images I receive My only worry is what the creator will do when they get tired of dedicating a physical camera CRT and laptop to handling everything What happens if the CRT burns out Will they find a replacement Im just curious about the long term but Im loving it in the now                 Such a cool concept

Maybe the turn around times have improved but waiting 24 hours to get a filter is goofy Interesting experimentbut you have zero control over filter and it can take forever More like and art project then an app     Cool but barely functional

well well well wait times down to average 4 minutes and they look lofi great It was a nightmare but something clicked and they look wonderful My new favorite app Just be weary 1st few times might not go thru But once they do Great                 Where is it

Ive used this app on and off for about 6 months the recent update makes it so that your photo will be ready in 1 hour sometimes 2 hours it was fine when it was 2545 seconds but an hour maybe its a glitch that can be fixed     takes too long

It used to be good great even sometimes but its down a lot and the photos are always too dark Wonderful idea and I totally understand that its not an easy service to keep running because its actual analog equipment but Im sad that its not what it used to be If there was a premium service Id pay for that if it had a better SLA           Used to be great

this is a cool app the speed has increased greatly from the first weekend it came out my only concern is the resolution that is delivered back 1280x1000 i would hope it to be better other than that the dreamlike nightmare quality is pretty awesome anyone whos having problems with it crashing has other problems with their phone              the lack of control is a great idea

however Id like to see the camera zoom in on the CRT a little more and a little more centered to get more usable pixels right now the results are clearly a picture of a picture might have been the original intention rather than a filtered look              great idea

I am an idiot for buying this Says it will take an hour with no indication if you can run the program in the background     Oh Jeez

one hour itd be okay except your iPhone cannot do anything else for one hour how do I get a refund     one hour

When I had first bought the app it was great and did what I needed it to do Now Im not sure if this is a bug or something but now everytime I try to upload a picture it shows up with an image saying oops something went wrong please try again I cannot upload anymore photos Please fix this                 Some flaws

Pleas fix the colour filter because right now its WAY TOO DARK This app is not worth paying for until this problem is fixed I tried to find bright blown out pictures and those to came back almost black Please fix I want this app to be useable Cant be that hard to change the metering on the camera can it The black and white version works pretty good So if you want to get this app for that by all means do But for colour its bad Fingers crossed things will be fixed soon        Colour Photos are WAY TO DARK

Excellent idea doing the digital analog digital effect And yes you can close the app and be notified when your photo is done if the queue is long                 Hilarious

This is amazing What an original idea You guys that complain about the wait time this is an conceptual idea and Im sure it works fine when the hype is cooling down I have gotten some awesome photos back before the press started writing about it                 Genius

Awesome app My picture took less than a minute                 SO cool

A lot of these reviews complain about long wait times but the developers have recently added a faster processor and I typically get photos back in 25 seconds or so now Looks and works great                 Faster now

Im so glad you guys made this and even more glad you still have it running Its been probably about a year since Ive had the app and I just remembered and redownloaded it So glad                 Most innovative app ever

If this worked it might be cool I have yet to get any photos back     Dont buy

Your photo will be available in 91 minutes 68 45 22 18 9 Even nine minutes actually too 72 minutes and dont close the app switch apps get a phone call or have your phone sleepbecause youll have to start ALL OVER Get some more CRTs guys or at least stop charging for the app     91 minutes

Only once did a picture not come out as totally black Waste of money     It never works

I would have written a review explaining how the influx of users causes the reasonably longer wait times but the issue here is the nonstop crashes the app now suffers from Every single time I choose a photo to upload it goes to the upload screen and then crashes Its done this the multiple times Ive attempted to upload since the update and frankly Im not impressed 1 star until this is fixed     Crashes every time

Neat idea but lots of the photos get cut off off if you load from album And its mostly boring it would be as easy really to throw an overlay on the picture to get comparable results The only reason Im impressed is for the use of real world tech But the results arent so impressive 5 stars for ingenuity 2 stars for results Almost 3           Not practical but cool idea

Either I dont understand how this works or I just got bamboozled out of 2 to take pics covert them into bw and make it squishy     Disappointing
