How to Cook Everything for iPad

I love this app and have been using it since it first came out Have also used the hard bound book for many years prior to that It would be great if they would finally update this for the iPhone 6 and 6 plus soon that takes advantage of the bigger screens There are also still a few bugs here and there I have trouble saving recipes to my favorites for example Otherwise still a great app with loads of content              Great app but please update

This is a great app It is the equivalent of the Better Homes and Gardens recipe book You cant go too wrong Theres a recipe for just about anything and it has links to how to things for which a tip might be helpful There are a few ways in which the UI could be improvedbuttons a tad small flipping back and forth for ingredientsinstructionsbut the underlying substance and basic ease of use meets the standards of a first or second generation app                 Good App Use it A Lot

There is something for everyone A wide variety of recipes from all types of cuisines as well as hints tips and techniques                 Excellent

Ive pretty much depended on this app for the last year Its been excellent for me as a newbie cookbaker often intimidated by the jargon and preparations on more advanced or specialized websites                 Stellar

If you are looking for a cookbooks full of recipesthis may not be your app I have been cooking at home for over 40 years and do most dishes fairly well This is a nice addition to help add a bit of oomph once in awhile The built in resources are quite niceadditions and helpful I use it all the time                 Great resource

The content is amazing Wish the app didnt look like it was from 2010              5 star content 4 star app

Recipes have links to special techniques great for making certain you remember the technique correctly or learning a new technique This app is now part of a bundle But the complete the bundle for the two apps in the bundle is the same as the bundle price Making the complete the bundle option more expensive then just buying the other app If you dont own either of the apps in the bundle and think you want both then buy the bundle and save half price off the second app If you already own one of the two apps the complete the bundle price will cost you an extra half the price Caveat emptor                 Great app lots of recipes and techniques

This cookbook is great if you could find what you need The search function is awful One word searches is all you get Try Greek chicken Forget it If you cant search for a recipe you cant use it You can search by ingredient but then you are faced with a bunch of recipes           Great recipes Flawed

This app is excellent The potato and leek soup even impressed my particular neighbor Recipes are well formatted easy to follow The variations on each recipe are useful fun to explore                 Great on a IPod touch

This app has lots of fast and easy recipes with interesting variations I find it easier to use than doing a recipe search              Great recipe app

It just doesnt get any easier I can make lists of recipes I want to try Move those that worked to another list Email yourself the grocery list Get in depth technique training within a given recipe And search by ingredients Easy peasy                 Fantastic for the reluctant cook

Bittman is great his recipes are fantastic and this app works well Enough said                 The gold standard of cookbooks

Just plug in your main ingredient or theme and to provides several recipes with variations and teaching techniques Its my goto for any recipe search even before all the dozens of printed cookbooks in my kitchen                 Great recipe app

This app does not follow modern iOS 8 design standards It looks like the developers were too lazy to update it FIX THIS ASAP It looks disgusting This is pathetic for an app that costs 10     Outdated design Update ASAP

Paid for this app less than a year ago Now it tells me I need to upgrade to have access to any of the material Does cooking really alter so much in a year that I should be willing to get the latest methods to my iPhone        Bought full version a year ago No access now

This app has old and clunky interface with very few or no cooking step photos Most recipes dont have even photos One thing that I like that it has cooking basics        Nothing Special

Great recipes but the UI is starting to feel dated at this point  eg no swiping from the left edge to go back to the previous screen                 iOS 6style app but otherwise good

Have had the original book for years much noted and falling apart these days I love it so much that I give it as a graduation present to college kids The app means I can take it with me shopping or whatever                 Go to book

I think I like this app so far except that when I pulled it open I noticed just about every recipe serves fourplus people I am a single person and do not need four servings of paella It would be nice if a serving convertor had been included somehow as I hate math and trying to figure it out myself as a newbie cook is daunting Thank you              Serving conversions

Absolutely wonderful Bittmans habit of providing variant recipes and links to related dishes make this the first truly flexible cookbook Ive ever known He has improved my cooking skills by simply opening my eyes to other possibilities Bittman is a proponent of simpler methods and it works and its great We have a shelf of dead tree cookbooks this app gets more use                 Six stars

I accidentally downloaded this app while getting a few other recipe apps and I immediately had regrets Not only is this a clunky inconvenient app It also costs 10 Any time o was looking for recipes Id open this app hoping for validation on spending money for something that is readily available in numerous easier apps for free and every single time it was a disappointing waste of time You cannot search for recipes by ingredient It lacks any amount of intuition based on habits The instructions are on full paragraphs rather than steps I finally deleted the app after realizing that it wasnt going to provide me with what I was looking for in a recipe app I would highly recommend finding a different more uptodate searchable recipe app     Inconvenient Waste of

Update Great app Please update for iPhone 6 plus I love this app it reminds me of a version of higher joy of cooking great for people learning the basics of cooking and people that have been cooking for years           Most used recipe app

This is my goto place when I am thinking about cooking something and I need a reference                 Excellent and practical cookbook app

Im not much of a cook and dont do it often So I was extremely disappointed in one of the few times Ive used the app to try to find hamburger recipes and have it come up blank Maybe it really isnt about how to cook everything     Hamburgers

Why is the app available through New Years Day on sale but after the 24th its back to normal price It should still be 399 not 699 699 is the normal price     Joy of Cooking

This app is a great resource for general recipes but the app desperately needs to be updated for iOS 8 soon to be 9 Interface looks old and outdated Syncing so that your favorites and grocery lists can be accessed from multiple devices is needed as well           Great resource but clunky interface

I use this and the vegetarian companion all the time Heavy on technique and most recipes give lots of variations that can inspire your own ideas I especially like the feature to keep the iPad on with one tap while Im working in the kitchen I have others that shut down if it turns off so you have to search for the recipe again                 Awesome resource

Its a great app much more than a cookbook with the kind of functionality other apps should strive for I use this app frequently even though I have a large cookbook library because its so easy to use I also own Bittmans How to cook everything vegetarian He is a great teacher and just genius at figuring out whats essential and what isnt                 Love it
