2015 civic Works fine Gives locations of atms gas stations etc you get emails from Honda and can set service appts at your dealer Integrates with aha free music internet service I dont have the Honda nav but I hear google maps wont work if you linked via the hdmi cable Will check              Works fine
For some reason I dont comprehend but maybe just money or attorneys honda has chosen to create its own infrastructure instead of supporting CarPlay How can honda possibly support things as well as apple My system is useless because Honda has not chosen to support the three apps I need in the car and I dont ever expect waze to support honda link Please someone tell me WHAT they were thinking Well at least the audio works fine I never purchased the car with expectation that this feature would work     Honda is not a software company
Not worth the space on my iPhone Advertised my 2016 Pilot as CarPlay compatible Feel very cheated     Useless App
Not sure what app will do once I get vin number added Lets you log into the Honda account but scans vin incorrectly and wont accept when manually entered Maybe it gets better when fully registered           Works decent
Honda Link All few Apps are not compatible with 2014 Honda Civics or iPhones     Still not compatible with Honda Civic
First off I love my 2015 CRV and the functions it has compared to my old vehicle I was also excited about the navaigation iphone and app features they boasted about online and in print However I was extrememly disappointed after delving into them more I had the iPhone 4s and found out that the apps are not only OS specific but device specific as well I was surprised to see this as its something that is virtually uheard of these days Especially for a vehicle that was only on the market for a few weeks Fortunately my contract was up and a couple weeks after purchasing the vehicle I updated to the iPhone 6 I thought that would solve my woes and I could start using the features I looked forward to but The Connectlauncher app keeps telling me I need to tether the phone and try to reconnect Yet the phone is already tethered via HDMI and USB using the digital to lightning cable I have tried several different methods of plugging and unplugging but no go Yet when I select the HDMI source on the dash my iPhone is mirrored The Aha app well lets just say there are better music streamingradio apps out there Then theres the Navigation app I was stunned that they wanted 6000 for it Especially with the so many free mapping and direction apps making there rounds including apple goole and waze I was fortunate to have met someone who had purchased it and they stated that it was a mistake and one they regretted If you have a chance steer clear of these apps from Hondaat least until they come out with something better or they support Apples CarPlay They are more of a headache than anything else Though this is not related to the app I was told by the sales associate that I could mirror my phone and still use either apple or google maps Im terrible at directions and I was excited to hear that but once you take the vehicle out of park the screen returns to its default screen and prevents mirroring from any device I underatand that it does that for my safety so I cant watch videos while driving which I dont But at the same time it would be great to view the map and driving directions on the dash instead of a small phone on the side     I was expecting more
Wow I didnt think the App could get worse but Honda accomplished just that with its latest update iHeart Radio now requires you log in every time you start your vehicle and touch the app Really slow boot time of app and the only two programs available aha iHeart wastes a lot of gas while idling also     It is worse
Coming from a Hyundais bluelink app which allows owners to start engine lockunlock doors locate the car turn on headlights all remotely using their app this app really has no useful features It just has a web link for the owners manual and a page to request roadside assistance Very poorly designed and featureless app from a respectable Honda company Very sad     No useful features
My wife has a Toyota vehicle with Entune I used to think Entune was horrible until I came across HondaLink As bad as Entune is at least it has more than three or four functions HondaLink basically allows you to check the weather finds points of interest and navigate IF you pay 60 for the navi app all things you could do more quickly with a smartphone probably with better results too Why they label this HondaLinkthe Next Generation is beyond me If the Next Generation HondaLink is this useless Id hate to experience the first generation There are no 3rd party apps Im in agreement with othersI think this is a stopgap measure to sell cars to unwary consumers until they can integrate Apple Play The only nice thing is the HDMI input which I will admit does produce pretty decent sound qualitiy Otherwise I have a big fancy touchscreen that is pretty much useless     And I thought Toyotas Entune was bad
Honda should chalk this up as a total failed attempt to offer a feature My fiancés 2014 Mazda 3 has the nav built in first of all Noweven if I spent the 60 for the App and accepted that I knew my lovely civic didnt have the functionality when I bought it the whole series of Honda apps I have to download and the user interface that navigated between the apps IS AWEFUL I purchased the HDMI cable and gave it a shot too I work for a company that builds apps so I know that 4 apps arent needed My prayer is that Honda reads this decides they will prove they can knock this out of the park overhaul the whole honda link app suite for me to eat every word of this review     Horrible
App is slow to connect to iPhone Interface needs to be updated Cannot play separate iPod and use iPhone for navi at the same time It doesnt know what to do even though there are two usb ports We need CarPlay Theres no iPhone mirroring You have to use honda navigation which I bought is not that accurate Google Maps is a much better navigation app and more intuitive Cant use iMessage for voice texts because it wont display so now youre distracted wondering if Siri got what you said Have u mentioned slow to connect Who uses Aha by the way its so friggin lame get rid of it We want full iPhone mirroring And the music app keeps auto playing please make it stop Having to mess around with a clunky honda interface is more dangerous and distracting than having iPhone mirroring because we know our iphones better than we know your system I can tell Siri to navigate by voice command but honda wont allow you to stream Apple maps to the video screen while the car is moving Wake up and innovate     Too slow needs to be reprogrammed
Doesnt even accept my VIN pin written manually or scanned U cant get through the first step     A waste
Id signed up 3 new accounts but none of them could sign in always show thatinvalid username or password it sucked me so hard     Cant sign in
Garbage app and does nothing for the 16 pilot Honda doesnt care after they sold u the car     Garbage
All the Honda apps are confusing Theres a Honda navigation app but I have Honda nav built into my 2015 fit I was hoping to be able to use an app to do entry for the nav since the cars UI is so clunky Who is the nav app exactly meant for Every Honda app has 1 star How blind can Honda be that these apps are crud     Confused
Although Bluetooth still works handsfree calling no longer works correctly with iOS 83 It cant identify the target contact you wish to call For example if I say Call Mom home it tells me that there are multiple listings and displays a list of names that dont even remotely sound like Mom From that point things just go from bad to worse because doublepressing the Talk button ceases to function and you can no longer bypass the voice prompts This problem was confirmed by other iOS 83 users on the Fit Freak forum Instead I now use Siri to make phone calls Shes spoton accurate and can even send texts The only thing she cant do is navigate at least not when driving I talked to Honda customer service and apparently Honda does have plans to implement Apple CarPlay But there isnt any timetable for doing so which to me translates to dont hold your breath And as far as I can tell updates to the incar programming are not in the foreseeable future Although Honda did just issue an iOS 8 update to their navigation app it took them six 6 months to do so Honda just just keeps on disappointing     iOS 83 incompatibility
App functionality is basic at best and that was nearly a year ago when I bought the appsvehicle in April 2014 I bought an iPhone 6 in September and the app still fails to work at all in my 14 Civic EXL Incredibly disappointing since I purchased the 60 app and the 99 cords So disappointed in the development of this app Not a single improvement in the UI or functionality in nearly a year of my using it I sincerely hope Honda supports Apple CarPlay soon so that I can have functional nav in my car     Atrocious
This garbage app has taken up 56gb of data on my phone for no reason Having this on my iPhone has delayed the honda navigation app from opening by 510 seconds I just uninstalled this and tried the navigation app on my car and it connects and loads instantly DO NOT LOAD THIS GARBAGE You do not need it     NOT NEEDED FOR NAVI IN CAR
I love my 2014 Civic but Hondalink has proven to be the most useless and poorly implemented feature of the car Not even worth trying to use     Pointless
After tedious registration the app would not even allow me to login Aha the other Hondalink app does work     I would give zero stars if I could
Thanks for the update When we get the update for the car play              Finally
Maybe Im not as jaded or as refined as the other reviewers or maybe my expectations were lower but my experiences with this app and with the Navigation and Aha apps have been mostly positive once I figured out how to avoid the bugs Sure its inconvenient to have to Allow the app to connect every time I get into the car And yeah its inconvenient to have to reboot my iPhone 5s occasionally because the Aha or Navigation apps wont start up But once either app is operating they are really fun useful and informative I have Google Maps on my iPhone if I want to use it but I really like the Navigation apps features The Google app is more user friendly but the Navigation app puts a much clearer and larger display on the monitor screen of my 2015 CRV instead of on the small screen of my iPhone Plus the turnbyturn voice instructions of the Navigation app are clearer and more effective The Aha app is great for news programs and podcasts and audiobooks If Honda could eliminate the Allow input and just let it connect automatically when connecting the HDMI cable that would make the apps deserve a 5 instead of just a 4              Useful and Effective
Does nothing of any merit aside from crashing     Absolutely useless
Just bought a 2016 Pilot Elite A 48K This app is absolutely worthless Honda why roll out an app to support your alleged top notch technology that is worthless and does nothing Called Honda Link support and they cant even tell me what this app is intended to do They kept telling me what I should see on the app and what they were talking about isnt on my app Clearly Honda has issues Apple should pull this app and hold their third parties to a higher standard     Horrible Thanks Honda
App works great for me and I really enjoy the art style and he user experience Cant wait for what features come next                 Works great
Disappointing Tremendously No value added Either stop trying And I use that phrase sarcastically or put into a true effort     Pointless
This is ridiculous I have a 2013 civic and this app is has not been updated Please do something about it     Can you make this work for my car
I was a Honda fan for over 10 years but this experience has ruined the brand As an iOS developer I am appalled at Hondas implementation All I wanted was CarPlay So disappointed by HondaLink Expensive adapter Allow access dangerous mass of wires tangled around your shifter and legs Honda didnt bother to update their apps to be compatible with iOS 9 or iOS 8 until after the public release even though they have had months to test and update Looks like updates are few and far between iPhone 5s 64GB iOS 9 2014 Honda Civic EX Coupe     Pretty much useless
I cant use my phone anymore after I started my navigation Also I dont think the routing accurate I entered my home address but it took me somewhere else I was so scared I think either Google map or apple map works just fine I dont think you could listen the music after you start the navigation Can I have my money back     Terrible to use
So frustrating every time I see a picture of the CarPlay interface its on the exact head unit my 15 Fit has What are you doing Honda CarPlay     CarPlay
So now theyve updated thisall new interface thats appealingFinally I thought I did a lookup of a nearby coffee shop while in the carI pushed Get Directions GUESS WHAT it opens Apple Maps It wont open in the Honda Nav app This means I use the Honda screen to look something up the the directions then display on the iPhone Useless OF COURSE if Honda allowed CarPlay this wouldnt be an issue     Doesnt Talk to the Honda Nav App
If you think the 2015 models have a horrid user interface wait till you use this app Honda is producing engines for McLaren Formula 1 Im not sure how because they are incredibly incompetent at software If my CRV wasnt such a great deal and bulletproof id sell it The software is THAT bad     AbysmalWorse Than Honda Nav Unit
First in general I love my new Fit Im sure that it will be just as reliable as the 2000 CRV it is replacing The vehicle is full of great tech but is frustrating Basically the HondaLink software suite is a joke Im not paying for an expensive HDMI cable Most functions can be handled with Siri The interface and menus need to be rewritten from the ground up Both the iPhone and in car apps are poorly implemented However once youve gotten past the learning curve of the in dash menus you are stuck with half baked apps All I want to accomplish beyond streaming my music is have my texts spoken out loud and be able to respond by voice Music is fine but I cant figure out the sms functionality if it exists     Useless
When I type in my vin it says the vin does not have features for the Honda link I have a fully loaded 2015 Honda Accord with navigation but it states that my car doesnt have the features for Honda link     Bad app
Even the local service team and Honda America reps could not make it work on my new 2015 CRV I have an iPhone 5S with IOS 812 which they claim should work but does not so they are blaming my phone for the black screen I will try again later when I get my iPhone 6 and see if it fixes it At this point I think that id be happier with a refund Clearly this was not ready for delivery to the public Not what I expect from Honda     I agree with everyone else
Well allow me to join the chorus of terrible reviews These apps are Atari in the age of Xbox Bag phones in the age of smartphones If the interface simply allowed you to mirror your smartphone to allow access to your phones functionality the whole clunky setup would be worth it As it is all you get is a dated low res interface giving you access to almost nothing worth the cost of the connecting cables Fortunately my 2015 CRV has a great built in Pandora link as one of the main audio options which connects with my iPhone via Bluetooth It looks great on the screen and gives songartist info along with the ability to like etc Combined with xm radio Bluetooth connect to my library on my phone and regular stations I have plenty to listen to Hopefully Honda will give the Connect system an overhaul to make it worthy of being in their vehicles For now it is a joke     Join The Chorus
Doesnt accept my cars VIN either by scanning or entering manually When connected to the car the phone screen turns red The cars display takes forever to load then has minimal functionality Honda should spend their time getting CarPlay running on all existing and future cars with the hardware to support it instead of on this limited broken software     Horrible
So disappointing App will not launch sometimes Terrible horrible ugly clunky interface This is an embarrassment for Honda Hello Honda Are you listening You and Apple promised us CarPlay in your advertising If you want to fix this major screwup give your loyal customers a software update to CarPlay     Colossal Fail
Does not accept my VIN Cannot use nav or apps now     No good
This is a sorry excuse for CarPlay Its generally horrible and you have to buy almost 100 worth of cables to use it Dont bother Better to hope honda has given up on this and will one day update the software to native CarPlay     Pretty useless
There is no use for any of the Honda designed apps No CarPlay except for 2016 cars Honda just lost a loyal car owner and fan     Honda failed miserably
I do not know why its called next gem Honda link Appa is pretty much useless Honda is far behind other car makers in this area     App is horrible
So far this app doesnt serve a purpose was thinking it would help with some of the issues like hearing if text comes through with iPhone but so far I dont see the need Hope it gets better     No use to me
Why cant Honda get it through their heads to ditch this effort and adopt Apple car sdk     Useless
I was told that I would be able to do so many things like import pictures and see my iPhone screen on the display This app basically gives me music and tells the weather I get more info from my iPhone I went out and even bought a very expensive adaptor for hdmi and for the iPhone because my lame salesman told me that I needed hdmi to do anything with this app Doesnt do anything What a waste     Totally USELESS app
Lacking in the actual convenient aspect Needs more of the Siri capabilities and would be great to be able to respond to text and with text to incoming phone calls Needs updated immediately I dont use this nearly enough to say its a benefit and reliable option to a true hands free        Lacks true convenience
Apps keeps on crashing after 3sec cant type the username The Fit if fine the Hondalink app are not     app crashing
Get your act together Honda Stop giving us such crappy apps spend your time enabling CarPlay in our cars Your apps are clumsy and dont work half the time Navigation app is terrible And with each update you make things worse The connect app used to well connect before the upgrade Now it takes ages to show up on the car screen     Give us CarPlay
I read everyones reviews but thought Id give it a go Luckily I didnt waste the money on the navigation app Its bad in almost every way Where is Apple Car Play Honda scrap this a let Apple handle the rest     Its bad Very bad
Dealer flat out lied to me about the capabilities of HondaLink Had I known how terrible this setup was I would not have bought a new Fit Im only bothering to review in hopes of helping other potential Honda purchasers At this point I would strongly suggest that anyone in the market for a new car take a pass on Honda until they fix this garbage     Embarrassingly bad
