used dauntless ifr only thing it is good for is to listen in the car you can t do that on this version without paying another 20 what a joke     texasair

Graph charts without drawing capability lends itself to guessing with no skills being improved Need to be able to turn off these graph questions as it s very impractical on an iPhone screen anyway Unfortunately an email to the helpdesk did not work and phones numbers are intentionally unavailable     Love the app the update not so much Stvo92

I just completed my Commercial rating and it was made easier thanks to this app I studied using the ASA books and that was a great thorough study but then added a few rounds of this app to prepare for the written I got a score in the 90 s with no problem I really like the question stacks and the ability to get immediate explanations configured to display either all the time or only when you get one wrong It s a great package I didn t really use the check ride prep one much but I should before my CFI I also used the dauntless prep for my CFI FOI test today and scored in the mid 90 s as well so you can bet I ll be using this for the FIA test as well                     Great supplement to prepare 10-oh

I have used Dauntless Ground School to pass my IFR GLIDER and soon my commercial I have also used as a refresher prior to BFRs and IPCs The software is very intuit and precise But what is particularly excellent is that the software and content allows me to not only pass the test with a high grade which makes for a much easier check ride but as importantly to learn the underlying material and the logic of the test I have tried Kings and this is much more easy particularly if you like to supplement the material with reading in a standard text book Well worth the expense                     Best in class Greatest Dad in the WORLD!

I got this application I m trying to do actual questions like really written exam but there is nothing to do I do not understand why it doesn t have actual exam on this application     I have question Ndkskwndndj

There s no great way to track progress there s slots you can save your progress on but that behaves like you re saving a Quake game not tracking knowledge areas You d think your progress would be automatically tallied in iCloud or via some sort of sync mechanism but no It d be great to review questions on your phone then pick up on your iPad but no such luck Look at the screenshots There s so much space wasted in this with visual clutter to look cute and cartoony It looks and behaves like a 10 year old Windows app that s been ported to iOS There s a TON of misspellings let alone many grammar issues Another reviewer criticized this company for having a rude email exchange with their CFI s in challenging an answer and I can see why The descriptions in the answers have a because I said so tone and aren t many aren t helpful Lastly after taking your written exam there is NO way to review the questions you missed Each question has a code from the FAA on the subject area and there s no way to look these up in this app even though at the bottom of each question this code is displayed Because of this I ended up purchasing a Gleim Written Test Prep book which I d hope to avoid and was the very reason I bought this app     It works but barely It is not a polished app flydood

I passed my knowledge a few days after purchasing the app It works very well the explanations are sufficient to clarify my answers A good reminder about these apps is that they are here to expedite the process of passing the written but to fully understand the subject you need a lot more than just an app                     Very good test prep app Nicolo Costanzo

Extremely rude disrespectful CFI s Have been studying with this app along with King Courses and a few others for my Commercial Certificate Came across a question in Aerodynamics about combined effects of slipstream and torque effect Dauntless gave one answer while King Gleim and several CFI s gave a different answer So I used the form Dauntless provided within their app to submit that an answer may be incorrect kindly asked them for clarification The response I received from one of their CFI s was shocking Down right rude and extremely disrespectful Rather then what any other CFI would do explaining the answer He pretty much flipped out on me for questioning the answer Extremely nasty reply that how dare I question them everyone else is WRONG and their answer is right I m lazy and trying to get them to do everything for me blah blah blah I submitted the same question to King Schools and got a very pleasant detailed response explaining their answer After doing some web searching on this particular question there is actually quite a bit of debate on the answer so not sure why they were so shocked that I would question it Anyways the app itself isn t bad although you shouldn t have to pay an extra 20 for the audio feature Terrible company and customer service     Decent App Terrible Company Bryan M. -

I used the mp3 playback of questions and answers Listened to them while driving Listened all the way through a few times And it helped immensely I used another video course for the more difficult problems such as angle to converge and time distance and fuel to station But I ll be purchasing this app for future tests Well worth the money I highly recommend this app                 92 on my commercial knowledge test woodchuck reaper

I used this app to prepare for the FAA Commercial Airplane Written earlier this year and am happy to report I easily got 100 on that test The software was easy to use the explanations of the answers were top notch and I found it not only a great test prep tool but a great learning tool The way the question stacks let me focus on the areas I didn t already have down pat saved me a ton of time in preparing for the test As an added bonus the question bank here appears the most up to date and accurate of all of the tools and apps I used Will definitely use for future study and ratings                     Made it easy to pass the Commercial Written with 100 Soon to be Commercial Pilot

I used the Instrument version by Dauntless to pass the Inst written It worked well for me as it was easy to identify my weak areas This allowed me to focus my study on the areas I needed improvement I always have my iPad with me so I could work on it when I had spare moments The Commercial appears to be as good of an app however there is at least one diagram missing hence the 4 stars I have had it forget my place on a couple of locations and had to start over I am not sure if that is an issue with this app or more to do with IOS 7 I don t think it ever happened in the instrument Other than that it does exactly what it advertises and works well for me                 Good App Noshoes4me

I was using the last version to study for my commercial written and was liking it but this new update makes the app crash after EVERY question and this makes it unusable I have tried to reboot my iPad I tried to load the list of questions it won t even do this before it crashes and tried to just restart the practice test All it does now is crash Please fix         new version crashes after every question Bayou Pilot

Just getting started on my Commercial I ve used the PC versions of Ground School for my Private and Instrument and got great scores on my tests This is the first time I ve tried it on the iPad and I must say it is spectacular The interface is excellent and very intuitive No more lugging around my laptop I can reach for my iPad and study just about anywhere The graphics are great and it performs very well on my pokey old iPad 1                     A consistent winner Beavercreek Pilot

Cannot imagine anything being better I am 61 years old pursuing my Commercial certificate GroundSchool was perfect for reviewing before my knowledge test Every question looked familiar because it was I had seen every question before on GroundSchool I scored 97 Automatic updates were great and they came frequently a couple of times a week That gave me assurance I had the latest of the question pool Graphics were good limited only by the quality the FAA provides I loved the various modes and most often used the flash card learning mode Software worked flawlessly on my iPad too I never had a single glitch If you are studying for your knowledge test I strongly recommended this outstanding product                     Awesome K5XS

I have used king until now but not anymore a great training tool for a tenth the cost If you buy this app you will not bee disappointed but I suggest exploring there unique STACK system I did not understand it at first but it will cut study time way down buy only studying weak ares instead of the whole database Oh I got a 92 with this                     Great study app The cookie chick

Has the entire bank and may be the tedious way to study but by all accounts from fellow pilots on the commercial written learning the bank is the best way to score high because so many of the choices are intentionally so close I used other guides methods of course for private instrument study but due to the hair splitting nature of commercial I found this pain staking method most effective at least for me Thanks for creating this app which is far less than online courses or especially live courses                 Got for commercial prep NolaFlyboy

In today s world value is important I value customer service functionality and performance for the price This is an over priced under featured application that can be had for 9 95 I own the 9 95 application as well so I know Also the functionality is lacking There appears to be 4 funtions learning with flash cards study study continuous and quiz NOT at all study friendly The test gives you a score but I have yet to figure out how to go back and see what questions you missed or answered wrong I highly reccomend spending your hard earned cash on the cheaper program         Value Hughs500
