Gaiam TV - Streaming Video

Please fix Love this but cant take the bugs Look forward to a bug free version        Not ready yet

I have enjoyed all the classes Ive taken Its so nice to be able to supplement the studio classes I take The instructors are all top notch and the class format is always perfect I REALLY REALLY like being able to access classes with instructors like Janet Stone and Sean Corne Would like the app to allow me to watch in portrait or landscape Would also like any guides Im participating in to be more easily found when I sign in Thanks for a lovely product              Love this service

I love that I can practice yoga and watch a plethora of documentaries on the go                 So amazing

The programming available on Gaiam TV in itself is nice However this is a very basic app which lacks important search and organization features that are important to users The playlists need to have another level of organization so that if I have several videos saved in my playlist I can quickly find the one I want to watch For example I do not want to scroll through 20 yoga videos I have saved for my morning workouts so that I can watch a movie Furthermore the videos are categorized by type which can be confusing if I have a specific thing that Im looking for say a video about Astrology or any new episodes of Beyond Belief and I dont necessarily know how you have decided to categorize it The search is not set up to be able find all the episodes of a favorite show or a person or to see if there are any new episodes which relate I want to be able to see a list all episodes of favorites such as Beyond Belief Rodney Yee Denise Linn The Eleventh House etc etc The way that Gaiam TV is set up is very time consuming and frustrating for the user        Too timeconsuming for the user

As a blind user I was very surprised and pleased to find that this app was actually usable with VoiceOver I am very greatful for this because listening to my favorite Gaiam shows just cant always be congruent with sitting at the computer With that said I still think there is a lot to be done with the app on the accessibility front and otherwise One small point is that there are many buttons around the app that are not labeled and there are others that have cluttered overlabeling To have this make a little more sense VoiceOver will read Search button button if the button was named Search Button so it only would need to be named Search Little things like that I wont go too far into that here but I might write another review in the future regarding accessibility Overall I am really enjoying the app and would like to thank Gaiam for always putting out excellent content              Thumbs Up

I am really disappointed to report this app is no longer working on my iPad 2 I have tried several fixes and deleted the two apps added after the more recent update before 4172015 I also have deleted the app itself and rebooted I was using this app everyDay but now after about 810 seconds of opening the app it closes consistently I have searched Google for suggestions without success so far     Used to love this app but now

thank you so much for creating an app the app looks so clean so far one of the things i would recommend is caption im hardofhearing and need them to fully grasp everything a narrator is saying thank you              Captions

Great app but the level and duration filters do not work Also I dont see as much info about the yoga videos in the app ie level as I do when I view it on the website Have to use the website to select then go find the video in the app           Duration and Level filters do not work

This network app is spectacular exactly what I was looking for It is very hard to find this kind of programs in a regular cable tv the interface is good and the selection fantastic if you love spirituality documentaries nature and meditation this network is for you Very refreshing                 Spectacular

I have been using a Roku to access Gaiam TV for the past few months Now I can use this app to keep up with my yoga while I travel Shows are easy to find and there are many different filter options The playlist is a nice feature              Good app and great content

Crashes or freezes all the time through ps3 I only have about a 50 success rate at streaming through devices other than a computer and browser Contacted for help and never received a reply Search functions are not streamlined Personal playlist should be the first thing to appear not most popular or recently added Videos with multiple segments should be grouped together not separated out like they are In the app Its a shame because I am a gaiam supporter and longtime subscriber for the fitness videos but there is way too much to fix for this to be a 5star app right now     Buggy and crashes

This could be a great app I love Gaiam But as others have mentioned one of the basic irritating things about this app is that it does not remember the login information from the last time that you used it So you end up having to log in each time Sure Id love to see them take more cues from Netflix and others on que managementbut for now PLEASE fix the login issue           Why has login remember not been fixed

I signed up a few weeks ago and am enjoying the programs immensely The app and the experience thru safari are okay not the best I regularly use Amazon Prime streaming and Netflix and am used to certain functionality like sorting keeping track of my programs and where I left off Each time I log in I have to hunt for the program I want to watch It usually remembers where I left off even between the web and app I can watch closed captions on safari but not in the app etc Little things that can discourage you from using           Love the programs the app is ok

Cant see duration options for yoga classes Please fix Otherwise ive really been enjoying it              Duration feature not working

I am loving Gaiam TV So far I got emailed to try a free month And I am glad that I did try a free month Now I can enjoy a service with documentaries and other stuff they have I mean come on it aint a bad app at all                 It is not a bad app

I love the variety of uplifting and thought provoking shows but please fix the app so we dont have to log in every time An automatic log in would make it a 5 star app              Fix log in please

This breadth of material and information in this app is incredible I can get a workout in learn about a new health discovery and gain inspiration from a beautiful film all in one place no matter where I am Would definitely recommend this for anyone on any type of personal journey                 Your personal journeyin your pocket

Below average videos to watch and the video I did try to watch did not even play the right one        Content is not worth it

There is an abundance of content available on Gaian that lets me take my practice w me whether at home work or traveling Ive learned so much about staying true to myself and meditation Love it                 Yoga practice on the go

I have had nothing but success at playing videos adding to my playlist and searching Im grateful I no longer have to pull Gaiam up on the web The only improvement I can suggest and wish for every time I use the app is that it would remember my login information The need to sign in daily to complete my morning yoga is irritating Which is not the frame of mind Im aiming for with yoga              Just one request

I would love this app to be able to play in the back ground since many shows you can listen to with the phone locked or while multitasking Thank you           Love Gaiam but

On the last update now I have to watch my videos right side up You can see it better in landscape This is a feature that the viewer should be able to choose not the app The smaller picture is harder to see while trying to do yoga poses I dont have a right side up TV I watch videos in landscape please fix this     What happened

Please add guides from MyYogaOnline And also filtering for videos when you select Short films for example you are left with huge amount of videos Having there filters like Length Main topic etc could be helpful Otherwise great app                 Good app

Im so glad to have GaiamTV on my phone I am however curious about the written content that normally accompanies the films on the website The articles and guides have been very helpful to me and I would love to have access to them along side the visual material        Written content

Playing the videos has worked well for me Ive seen one small glitch in playback but it didnt even disrupt my flow That said there are definitely places to make improvements Store signin data please At 430am I want to just open the app and hit play I dont want to have to think about what my password is Let me rate a video in the app after Ive done it I dont want to have to remember to login on the computer to rate the video later I enjoy the large volume of yoga videos brought over from MyYogaOnline but there are no descriptions or useful information about those videos Include the tags and levels for the yoga routines in the description Also please include a list of any recommended props Also please make this app universal or make an app for the iPhone On the iPad using the site works okay but the screen size of the phone makes it impossible to practice on the road from my phone This could also be improved with the ability to download a few videos at a time for offline viewing as you used to be able to do with MYO Making these improvements would take my rateingfrom a soso 3 star to 5 stars           Okay But Definitely Room For Improvement

The content is ok Some videos I liked and some videos were really old low budget For a 1000 a month price tag I would except it to be excellent but it isnt in my opinion I had a problem logging in and needed to reset my password It took 4 emails to get that done Once I reset my password I was only able to play GaiamTV on my ipad It wouldnt let me play content through the GaiamTV Roku channel after the reset and the channel wouldnt log me out and just kept showing a invalid password error I asked for assistance and explained my issue and the customer service person kept asking me the same question over again even though I gave her the answer already A total disconnect After about 4 emails on the Roku issue I decided to cancel my subscription        Clueless customer service content ok

Much to like in this version Supports Chromecast which is great Easy to search Only bug is that some filters dont work notably duration Fix that and it will be perfect           Duration filter doesnt work

Keeps saying error and closes movie Im watching Upon reloading video it crashes again Some series I am able to open with no problem but still I am unable to access all content on the ipad2        Cannot finish watching movie

1 Needs a longer scrub area for moving the view location 2 I would like to see it run in the background when minimized when streaming to Apple TV I like the minimalist feel to it The app has a simple layout easy to navigate and far more robust than logging in on iOS Safari that method just barely worked This is a huge leap forward              Good but a bit buggy

I am so happy to see that they have made an app for this wonderful product So far it runs excellently However for the next update I recommend allowing the user to operate the application with the phone rightside up Having it constantly in landscape mode makes it difficult to navigate Additionally it would be nice to have articles to read directly from the application Personally I would love to have the option to both read and watch Thanks so much for everything you guys do I truly appreciate it Best                 Great App Room for improvement
