This app is worthless I needed to hide a folder When I told the app to hide it it did But if I searched in Finder for subfolders that were in the hidden folder they showed up and if I double clicked on these I could see all the content in them So it hides the name of the folder but still gives access to all the files in it It s a joke     Worthless edpoma

If you use Cocoatech s Path Finder version 7 instead of the Mac Finder selecting Show Invisibles will reveal all Not only will your hidden files folders be seen by anyone using your computer they ll be accessible even if you ve set a password The app seems to work fine with the Mac Finder but does not work with Path Finder Please fix             Doesn t Work with Path Finder Rhm250

The program says it hides the files and sure enough when I look in the folder they are hidden but they still show up in the All My Files favorites and when I search for them either by name or internal word Totally useless Will be looking for a refund     Doesn t hide the files everywhere TyB

I was happy until I realized that not only the document I wanted to hide was invisible my whole documents folder disappeared from my desktop I can find the hidden document but I can t find the larger folder Bizarre and a big pain     Where did it go Bad outcome

I put a password on my file closed the app and now the app won t open unless I give it my password Which I gladly did thankful that the thing is securing my file but IT DID NOT ACCEPT MY PASSWORD so now what do I do Can I change the password Can t open the thing without password I want my money back and I want an app that works     WON T ACCEPT MY PASSWORD noeasyway

Easy File Hidder works very well and is a bargain at 1 98 But there are a few issues Assume you have a hidden folder with the name S B which has many files in the folder Situation 1 If your search for the S B folder with Sherlock it will find the folder but will not show the contents unless you click on File Name and then it shows the all the files in S B and will open any of the listed files If your search with File Buddy 9 it will find the S B folder but show it as invisible but there is an option to make visable and your have lost it s protection Situation 2 Protection of the folder on a Back Up Drive The S B folder will be visable on your backup drive unless you have made it hidden by dragging the folder to the Easy File Hidder from the back up drive This is because Easy File Hidder needs the complete path of the file or folder to be hidden I suggest that you name your hidden files or folders with an obscure names that are now known to others Don t uses names like passwords investments etc                 A very good product but not perfect Budkee

This app claims to prevent access to files from recent lists by renaming the file This is simply not the case All it does is add the word hidden to the file name This is what an intruder will see in the recents list and they can still open the file even if it has a different name     buyer beware 7$8?

i debated between this app and another one which costs 3X the price of this one and I am glad I chose this one It works just as it is described and i was also able to hide folders on my shared hard drive via our air port express USB port I can t even explain how awesome that is i have checked with my other macs and the files cannot be seen I am running Lion 10 7 5 on a 15 i7 MBP                     Works perfect jskrod

The app generally does what it claims it hides files in the Finder However two things to note 1 Although the feature list claims it does it does not in fact as of version 1 1 1 allow you to launch hidden files you must make the files visible in order to launch them 2 It doesn t hide files from the command line at all anyone savvy enough to open the Terminal and type ls can still see the files and or folders you ve hidden             Okay but missing a couple of key features DerekDaRhino

This is crapware Have had several nested files hid and could not unhide Tried all methods to recover as per instructions and could not Even tried other recovery methods no go Good thing it was only 99 but the loss of files is really frustrating In the end it is my bad for not trying it on junk files first My learning point for today     Lost files oldslojoe
