BesqWare Gin Rummy

I found this to be the best one for me No crashes and easily played                 I like this

I swear to God this game is rigged Is it just a coincidence that whenever Im winning theres like 5 extra rounds until theyre in the lead Huh     Rigged

I used to love this game but have been having issues with it blowing away crashing ever since iOS4 was released           Blows away since iOS4

This has been one of my favorite games for 18 months but the change of card font and faces with IOS4 is such a negative development ugly and hard to read that I deleted the game Developers how about a choice of card faces at least        Hate the new cards

Just like their Hearts game this game plays easily I agree that the opponent seems too lucky to be a fair distribution of cards The game hangs up a lot and sometimes after I finish a game it forgets I was playing and tries to create a new user Two suggestions to the programmers Offer the option to dump the bonus scores When picking your opponent by random show that players profile           Good play but problems

Wow these software junkies appropriate cause this is junk must be laughing all the way to the bank after selling this trash to all us idiots There are too many problems to mention Wish someone would check these apps out before allowing people to bilk us out of our money     Bad bad bad

This is my first review of an app and Im afraid its not a good one Constant crashes and a clumsy interface make this game practically unplayable The one flaw that apparently theres no quality control in the App Store This app feels like an amateurs first go and should never have been released in its current state I only hope future upgrades fix the rampant problems     One flaw

This is a very good gin rummy game It seems to do te hard things well game play AI etc Unfortunately there are some annoying bugs I often find myself at the new player screen and have to restart the app Fix the bugs and its definitely 5 stars              Good not perfect

Im changing my review down to 2 stars Agree with reviewer that the novice players consistently getting gin or knocking after only 3 pulls is too frustrating A game is supposed to be fun If you win all the time its no fun but pls remember its also no fun if you lose every time Also should have the option to quit a game without having to close the app and restart Am only keeping this game because I paid for it Hope there are updates to fix these things        Could be a great game

Bought this because it looked promising However the first game I played pointed out some serious flaws in both the interface and the game play First it seriously needs buttons for sorting your hand either by suit or by rank Also as mentioned by others it really needs an Oklahoma option Also why doesnt the game give the option to automeld Now on to the actual bugs The game doest appear to recognize runs of more than three cards I was sitting there for several rounds with gin with two runs of 3 and JQKA of clubs and it never gave me the option to knock until it called the hand a draw Very very frustrating Also it only allows you to meld nine of your ten cards WTF I will save this game for a while hoping the author fixes the glaring issues in what otherwise is promising looking game        Game Needs to be Fixed

Great interface makes playing the game enjoyable and having many opponents with different playing styles and skills is a major plus However one glaring problem is the frequency with which the opponent knocks after one or two card pulls and I dont even start out with one pair to build on I wish the card distribution was truly random           Good but rigged

I like it best of the 4 I have Very challenging I cant figure out the ranking and scoring percentages              Tough and fun

on this app This was the first app I installed on my iPhone but for the last few months it crashes EVERYTIME I try to start a new game I love gin rummy and the simplicity of this game made it a perfect choice Ive bought a new HD gin rummy from a different developer and it is TONS better Good luck guysIm outta here     Ive given up

Ok i get that its a 99 ap but 9 wins and 27 losses is ridiculous Something is skewed with the card distribution I agree that the 2nd player should have the option of first down card if the 1st passes on it There is a tremendous amount of times where the AI knocks after only a few draws before you get a chance to build anything That has never happened with my hands Very frustrating I find the AI skill levels meaningless due to this Also whats the purpose of the bonus points in the final score To make your loss even worse Otherwise play control is fine and graphics are good        OK but flawed

What the heck happened to this game since the previous update It is no longer any fun at all Something is very wrong when no matter which computer player I play against they ALWAYS get Gin within the first 2 or 3 draws I hope the developer saved what ever changes they made to the source code and can revert the games engine back to a previous version The 10 version I had been playing was MUCH better than this latest 12 version        What the heck

Played a few games Good interface Nice options Solid AI made games challenging 20 AI settings to choose I only played 2 of them Expert played well Keeps stats which is nice Worth the 99 so far              Solid so far

For the most part this was a great game before your upgrade in July 2010 I dont like the way you removed the classification for each player expert novice champion etc so you really dont know what level of expertise your opponent has I also hate the new feature of requiring you to pass on a card occasionally preventing you from drawing from the draw pile against your wishes I have noticed in prior versions that the more difficult opponent you chose to play the lousier hands that you receive player Is this your only method of making it difficult by giving the player lousy hands and the opponent great hands so they can win the hand right away Although I can no longer see the level of the opponent Im assuming this method is still true in the upgraded version        Dont like the changes at all

Has a cumbersome interface Induces a gradually ratcheting feeling of stiflement and frustration Makes you want to stop playing and go for a swim Otherwise decent           Awkward to play

Very much enjoy Did not experience the crashes other noted Could be improved by offering other Gin variations and scoring options Should be able to play unmelded cards against a knock hand                 Go for it

Best of the Gin Rummy applications by far Great interface very intuitive I love having different opponents to choose from Definitely worth 99 cents Has crashed on me a few times so there are some bugs but the good news is it always saved my game when it did After the bugs are fixed I plan to upgrade my rating to 5 stars I have been wanting a welldesigned Gin Rummy application since I got my iPhone Im delighted with this one One suggestion to the developer make the font on the score card larger I always want to know the score and would rather not click on Show Scores to read the current score Tip Make sure you reboot your iPhone after installing this ap that stopped some initial crashing that happened to me              Very well designed application

I originally bought the game simply titled rummy that turned out to have a whole host of flaws To their credit the German developer answered my emailed questions about two issues but it remains a game to be avoided especially at 5 This one is a little weird in that you have to highlight the deck or discard card then choose your discard before the chosen card moves into your hand Game is also missing a sort option but its easy enough to move the cards around which is what you would do with a real deck of cards On the whole Im finding it very addictive              Not perfect but probably the best on the app store

Good game well thought out But has one flaw The rules of gin rummy state that EVEN if its the other players turn to go first the player that goes second is given the opportunity to take the down card if the player that goes first does not want it Please fix in an update and BesqWare Gin Rummy will be a 5 star game           FINALLY a good gin rummy game

So far so good Definately at the top of the list of Gin Games at the app store One great feature to add would be to make an option for Oklahoma Gin where the knock amount is the value of the initial up card with double value for spades                 Great App So Far
