Great idea for an app and nicely implemented in many ways But it seems impossible to put marks on any of the virtues except the one highlighted this week or at least not the ones to be highlighted in future weeks It is also impossible to put more than one mark on a virtue per day Having read Franklin s writings I believe these are contrary to his method I also question the app s rewording of Franklin s description of Chastity omitting the words your own or another s Not sure what other changes might have been made Fortunately it is pretty easy to implement Franklin s chart as a spreadsheet with more flexibility             Questionable implementation 2469dhjirvbwl

CONS Doesn t let you modify virtues to focus on the ones most important to you you can only track the 13 virtues that Franklin chose If Franklin transgressed against a virtue multiple times on one day he d make multiple check marks in that column This app only lets you make one mark per day Although Franklin emphasized one particular virtue each week he tracked all 13 virtues every day This app only lets you track one virtue at a time PROS Simple clean design Provides helpful info on Franklin s definition of each of the 13 virtues Easy way to track a different virtue every week Free When I emailed the developer mentioning my above criticisms he responded with a prompt and friendly email He mentions that he s considering developing a pro version that would add multiple checkmarks per day and tracking of multiple virtues I d be very interested in seeing that and I hope he ll find the time to develop it BOTTOM LINE Although it s not perfect it s a solid useful app Plus it s free                 A good app that could be great jacobsw

I tried another app that showed one or two virtues at a time but never showed them on a chart like the one Ben Franklin actually used This app uses Franklin s chart as its interface and that really helps It s a good visual reminder that Franklin saw these virtues as something he would work on throughout the year one at a time completing a cycle of the virtues every 13 weeks I once made the chart myself in a book but it was time consuming and messy This app does it neatly and is simple to use                     Really helps to see the entire chart AnnZiv

I bought the app with enthusiasm Installed it and it didn t work at all I contacted the developer and he stated he doesn t actually own an iPad but it works on the emulator used to develop it I answered the What OS question are you running question No reply after that from them I contacted the developer again two weeks later still no reply I uninstalled rebooted and reinstalled still nothing This is not cool at all     Developer doesn t even own an iPad App doesn t work holypoet

Overall a good clean app but I notice two major things that could improve it 1 As noted in other reviews it should be allowed to mark any virtues on any given day not just the virtue of that week Yes the emphasis is on one virtue but you can t stop following previous or future virtues as well 2 Include the option of creating your own list of virtues Yes Franklins virtues are great but everyone can and should tweak them to fit his own life s goals and aspirations Overall good app to help me and with just a few adjustments could be great Thanks for paying attention to our reviews and we ll wait for future updates             A few requests to better apo Utahckh

Thank you for creating this app It is much more convenient to have this then it is to write it on paper Just one suggestion I think Benjamin intended that all the virtues were to be marked for each day but that we were to concentrate on one or more virtues per week In this way the virtues that are not in focus continue it s natural course but is still tracked nevertheless But I could be wrong Guess I would have to look it up                 Great app Jtlabs

I have heard of Ben s Virtues when reading about him Then I found this app It looks good in all but isn t worth a damn because it won t save your calendar Everytime you leave the app and get back on the app the calendar you just created is blank I tried doing what the developer said on the website but that didn t work either Has a real chance of being a good if it would work I hope the developer reads reviews     DOES NOT WORK LCSO87

Finding an iPhone app was my first idea after I had just read about Benjamin Franklin s method of tracking his 12 virtues and read the brief history of them Much to my suprise and enjoyment this was already available for free This app can only get better with time If you are interested in personal development you could do well by practicing nothing other than what is contained in this free app                     Great software based on a great idea Hontoo
