Beautiful Village Drives in France

On my iPad version every other page is an advertisement I downloaded a 10 megabyte app that is downloading pages on the fly Under a menu Named Select an Option I can Download This Edition or Page I can also Search or Share This Edition Under the Frequently Asked Questions the first item is advice on canceling an autorenewing subscription I need to close this screen to investigate this further but will return for an update Update my iTunes account is not yet showing a subscription I certainly hope I do not have one Because this is not an app its an eBook and not a particularly well designed one 1 The maps are scans of old Michelin maps of such low resolution they are illegible when doubletapped to enlarge There is no GPS functionality No POIs from any current or updateable source 2 Each page is actually a picture of a page I assume from a PDF of the printed magazine on which this socalled app is based Can be zoomed to enlarge 3 On my iPad 2 I have two pages at a time in landscape view I have to use portrait view to get one page at a time to make the text large enough legible 4 Maps are interspersed page by page There is no way other than page navigation to switch between text on a page and a map 5 There are pages describing the drives and then pages describing the towns No interactivity no buttons to switch from one to the other and back This eBookapp has a lot of good information But its clumsy to use A printed copy of a book or magazine where at least I could hold a place with a finger or bookmark or dogear a page would be more useful than this app        Advertising rag
