Being a pilot in real life I enjoy seeing how the other side operate and have a lot of respect for those that work at the ATC facilities I m not sure how realistic the radar set up is since I ve never toured a real facility but the phraseology is as close as you can get with voice recognition Very cool game I ve sat here and played Los Angeles sector for hours St Louis would be another awesome sector to create                     Well worth the money Avjet1258

First in general this application is easily among the highest of quality of any genre to be found in the app store opinion based on experience with a few hundred apps or so As a veteran software professional I would imagine the effort behind this application to be of a content and quality focused engineering led nature This opinion is intended as the highest of praise As an aviation enthusiast with a strong life long interest but no qualifications or professional capacity after several months of use I find my sessions in this sim to be no less engaging and immersive than ever if fact even more so as my skill increases While I recognize in afterthought the absence of any number of real world tasks procedures subtleties or nuances in my sessions I genuinely don t know what lies ahead in more challenging levels The last thought above leads indirectly to what is probably the most negative thing I could conjure up to say about this sim As a rule I have a strong preference for any aircraft real or simulated to have an equal number of takeoffs and landings unless in flight and happy As such I attain the greatest satisfaction and sense of accomplishment when a session ends with all of my flights either on the ground or handed off The sim offers the feature of alternate endpoints for a session accrual of a specified number of points or specified time duration This provides an excellent means of dipping ones toes into the waters of more challenging scenarios than usual However in such cases the endpoint feels abrupt despite being exactly what was asked for This is silly but it d be comforting to be informed that Sally or Bob is prepared to take over then be assured that your flights are in good hands when your turn is up I ve just realized that when flying solo in a flight sim I ll merrily do incredibly stupid things with no regard to safety Yet here s a sim that has me concerned about flights that don t even exist as a data structure anymore Oh and the speech generation recognition which may well in fact be the underpinning of the above sentiments is for the given hardware platform purpose cost utterly amazing I bought an iPad for X Plane and to make noise by various means For me the next best thing to working on this app would be for it to be developed further such that buying newer hardware would be mandated as basic necessity                     Exceptionally high quality sim Tom Carriker

This was my favorite i pad game then on Jan 3 2017 they upgraded it and now it crashes every time within the first 90 seconds They hosed up the pilot voices as well Boo     They screwed up a great game Jobu4444

I ve been playing this game for years and have always loved it Different challenges keep the game interesting for me I LOVE this game However part of the fun has been having the pilots confirm the commands issued This update has affected the pilot voices speed It makes some sound normal but others sound as if the pilot is mentally challenged Changing the speed slider may help this but others end up sounding like a chipmunk This is a great game I hope the next tweak fixes this                 Hours of fun update killed pilot voices Rafael4255

I love the simulation and purchased all available DLC as well The voice control can get really frustrating especially when there s a lot of traffic Sometimes no matter what you do you can t get the voice control to acknowledge the proper instruction For example a departing aircraft is requesting FL200 The voice command is issued to climb to FL200 The AI acknowledges to climb to FL230 You repeat the instruction to climb to FL200 The AI acknowledges to climb to FL220 Rinse and repeat I d estimate the voice control works well about 95 of the time When it doesn t work it s very frustrating Hats off to the developer for an overall excellent job and for offering the latest sector Boston for free                 Great simulation voice control needs a little work Kubaton

I thought most i pad games were mildly amusing at best well this one has me hooked well worth the price I can t stop playing it as it is fun and challenging I simply love the real world application of planes following SIDS and STARS Thais is awesome The voice command works surprising ingle well though not perfect it works well i would like to see more airports like KBUR KLGB KONT KSAN KSNA KOAK KSEA PANC PHNL KMSP just to name a few I d like to see more general avaition aircraft in the mix I would love to see Alaska and horizon surf air PC12s for the west coast would be awesome                     OUTSTANDING PROFILECLIMB

This game has provided dozens of hours of pure enjoyment since I bought it last week The game play and options don t seem to end many many many great challenging scenarios The only issue is with how much it drains my iPad Air battery After a few hours of play I lose more than 80 battery Other than that GET THIS GAME and plug it into an AC outlet for hours of non stop fun                 Fabulous game one annoyance Intel007

Not sure why everyone is rating this so high for voice commands Voice Commands work about 50 of the time Voice is essentially useless in this game My recommendation would be to get the 2 99 version of this app because Voice Commands do not work well enough to rely on them I use voice dictation on my computer my iPad and iPhone and none of them has any problem understanding me I can dictate entire paragraphs with no errors I dictated this review but this app can t understand three words that I m saying Absolutely not worth 10     Voice commands Kernian

I m a licensed pilot and I have always enjoyed the controller side of things I was looking for a fun tower simulator and saw this After trying another ATC game with voice recognition I became frustrated because I had to repeat myself several times for each instruction This game recognizes my speech the vast majority of times and it uses accurate to life wordage Now I m totally hooked Although the price is a little steep compared to most games I say it is totally worth it My only hope is that they come out with a tower or TRACON version                     Realistic and Fun Pastor Dano

This game is just what I was looking for a realistic ATC game The voice commands work remarkably well when they don t consider how often real ATC radio commands go unheard or misunderstood For anyone with some basic knowledge of ATC terminology mine gleaned not as a pilot but as a listener to ATC on United s channel 9 audio and to LiveATC net you ll get the hang of it quickly But that s not the real challenge the real challenge is in managing planes in tight airspace at different altitudes directions etc It gets challenging quickly but not so much that you want to give up Bottom line if you re fascinated by ATC this is a great game                     Played for 30 minutes Can t put it down Tom in Raleigh

This is an amazing app the developer has done a fantastic job It s extremely realistic the voice control works surprisingly well and I like that there are real airlines unlike some other apps Thanks for adding Southwest Airlines Maybe a future feature could be Ground control at busy airports More ARTCC s like ZDC Washington or ZOB Cleveland would be awesome The ability to add your own airports to the game using satellite maps would be awesome                     Very realistic highly recommended Jumpin_Cholla

I love this game User can set up to whatever difficulty they want Number of arrivals and departures how many airports etc are all options The user interface is excellent touch control and options feel very natural and are efficient I am not using voice control yet because I usually play in situations where I can t be speaking on airplanes going someplace It is higher cost than most games but nothing else brings such a dynamic challenge This is worth the cost I m not playing a game I m simulating time dependent spacial relationships between 3 dimensional variable magnitude vectors Serious stuff right but a blast and addictive                     Fun and a great challenge too AZ Photos

The game itself is great and the commands are very responsive It is a bit of an issue to register the commands if you have a case on your ipad but it is to be expected The only issue I have with the game is a bit of the phraseology that the pilots respond with is a bit off One instance is when you clear a pilot direct to a point such as rocki they read back with cleared direct rocki then as filed The issue with this is that the then as filed function is only used when the flight plan is first being created and then being cleared by Clearance delivery on the ground or ATC in the air if they are transitioning from IFR to VFR Once they are in the air on an established flight plan as cleared by ATC and they are vectored off it to get them back on their route the controller would say cleared direct rocki then resume own navigation assuming rocki was a set point on their cleared flight plan If the then as filed function was used while in flight it would negate any changes ATC would have made to the flight plan using what the pilot may have requested and not what was cleared originally by ATC The moral of the story is the game is good and works well just has some minor phraseology flaws so use it as practice but not as a training tool as to not develop bad habits Fix the minor phraseology issues for 5 stars Thanks for all the hard work                 Good but phraseology issues Vethiel
