All Of Wikipedia - Offline

If youre one who loves the ability of having all of Wikipedias knowledge without needing hefty or costly data plans when leaving a wifi hotspot than this app is perfect for you Its easy to use has features that the typical online version does not and ITS ALL OFFLINE I did not know such a thing could be so well implemented Its definitely worth the cost of the app if not much more Anthony                 Great for those without Data Plans

All the articles are blank even after I downloaded a new data dump for 99 Oh BTW the data dump is from Dec 2013 WTH     Does not work after IOS 80 update

Been using it for years still a few quirks and wishes but allaround best offline encycl Ive found I update around 1x year Id like to be able to search an entry many are pages long instead of just for subject Well worth the roughly 6 Gb of space              a years old favorite

I bought this app and downloaded data pack but after backuping my iphone all data was deleted and then i had to pay EXTRA MONEY for data pack to download it againyou are kidding jokes much     You little

As someone who is frequently on airplanes ie without connectivity this app is absolutely indispensable                 Cant live without it

Seems to be ok so far trying to compare it with Wiki Offline It would be nice to see the iCloud feature built in to pickup where I left off across devices Also a better bookmark page with a local gps like search as well as random article search also like Wiki Offline I know its suppose to be mainly a offline reader but I would like it to be my main reader and do everything           iCloud Sync

The last dump is actually 6 months old That is old information We are willing to pay you 99DL and still we have old information This is one star until database update     One problem

When I buy an app I expect at least the minimum amount of mandatory updates As the app costs 8 USD thats really expected Well the latest Wikipedia version available for download is from Dec 2013 today is April 2015 so that was clearly abandoned The app is still not interface updated for iOS 8 and obviously unoptimized for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus form factors At this time I fell the need to purchase another app of this kind and given the price tag of this one that makes me really angry     Lack of Update

But as others have said it is no longer supported You can still pay for the update but its always the 2013 data dump Too bad        Was a good app

I tried all the others before and I am writing this review to them too But Prizma is faster simpler and more beautiful It is the only App that has TABLES MATH and PLACES NEARBY OFFINE There is even A FREE VERSION available You can download 10000 articles for free or buy full packs Search for it     Prizma App is cheaper faster and better

All the text immediately at hand about 55 gigs of data I use it while reading to check on concepts words etc and I read a lot Its not perfect as rare articles are corrupted and the full UTF8 character set isnt available at least in iOS but one can go online if necessary Its also great for proving a point or winning an argument My trust in Wikipedia has exponentially increased over the decade                 My most used app

I bought this app and am very frustrated because numerical data is missing and there is a blank space where it belongs For example in the Giraffe entry it says the average weight is for an adult male Note there is no number The same is true in every other entry Overall decent app but fatally flawed        Missing numerical facts

Its hard to survive as an intelligent way without Wikipedia I never dreamed of any encyclopedia available in my iPhone and iPad I love my offline Wikipedia which is in my small pocket any time and wherever I go Whenever I order mobile units of smart phonesiPad I always order with the largest storage to carry offline Wikipedia Also the price is not bad at all Its worthwhile for any gentlemen and ladies who want to live with good intelligence and thinking Offline really helps because I work quite often as a medical missionary internistcardiologist for the poorest people in the poorest country I really recommend it                 Cardiologist

Initially I found it to be the best offline WikiApp out there however their description on my iPhone failed to mention a longterm 1 subscription fee That wasnt so much the problem as their explanation for it being required to cover the hosting cost of such a large and rapidly transferred file But in their other instructions they say the download will take between 3 and 4 hours so we should go grab some lunch The next update is 468 gb so how exactly do they know its going to take 34 hours Its dependant upon the data speed of the person who owns the iphoneipadipod Theyre obviously using this as an excuse to charge for the download If they could provide a less madeup sounding excuse Id recommend this app but for now Im writing them off as shady and untrustworthy EDIT Also the full version of Wikipedia is incomplete I keep finding thing missing        Dont buy this

I bought this application on June 29 2012 and it is generally satisfactory I have three major pet peeves about the app though such as The articles that are available are not the full versions of the articles available on Wikipedia and they often end where they should not end Considering that you pay 9 for this app the applications developers should have featured the full article and not a shorter version Please put the full Wikipedia articles on this app on a future update Also when I open the application it opens initially on portrait form even when I have my iPad on landscape mode Another pet peeve has to do with photographs The application features no photographs when you dont have an Internet connection Could there be a way to download photographs unto articles without an Internet connection And lastly could there be some form of tabs for articles so that if I were to want to read a different article I could just press a tab Thank you for your time and I hope these things will be fixed in your next update Overall a good app but please please please please fix these two problems           Good offline resourcebut in serious need of improvement

Had to restore my Iphone 5s In so doing i have had to reinstall All of Wiki After the choice of English edition the download keeps going in circles with persistent Connection Error and report log messages Deeply disappointed There is no customer support to call on I fear my 9 spent on this App is lost Pl fix or atleast inform of what to do to get refunded Thx I enjoyed this app otherwise     Persistent Connection Error message

except for the fact that any graphic content is only available whilst online The previews suggest that they are in place even offline and I was seduced into buying it under the impression that somehow the apps creators had cleverly compressed all the graphics into a manageable 5Gb size But no love It is however a wellformatted and accessible text version of the vast and venerable Human Wikipedia So yall get 45 stars              Almost great

Search engine in Russian doesnt work properly For example trying to find Munchen app proposes two results non of them is the city Trying to find the same city typing in russian I received five results again non of them about the city     Bad

Loved this app but the developers seem to have let it go Avoid until they update again unless you want a 2013 Wikipedia     No update since end of 2013

If students are using this app the app should be designed with more functions Like underline notes share notes with friends Cards like the ibooks things to memorize when you are preparing yourself for an exam organize everything in sections like history science math           Great app but still not to

If you ever have a question and are without Internet access you will be glad to have this app I use it every day Its the best app that I have                 Indispensable

I have tried a few of these apps and so far this one is the best I have used Most of the offline Wiki apps have issues with measurements in the articles this one did not I love the ability to see the images in article when I do have internet and the caching works great I gave it 4 stars because the font screen was a little cut off when viewing on my iPad Air Still useable but annoying              Great offline Wiki app with image caching

Last database update was in 2013 So no recent information and also no real interest in maintaining the app apparently        Database is out of date

What a great app Driving Baja I realized how much I wanted Wiki but with no Internet or any other access I was left only with questions no answers When I found this app I painfully and eagerly awaited the 5 gig download for two days and numerous wifi hotspots And finally after the download was complete I was in Wiki info heaven All without any connection at all There were a few bugs Some descriptive numbers dont show up but its really hard to be critical of a app that does so good with so much info Way to go guys at all of wiki and thanks                 The world and beyond at my fingertips All the time

This is a great app It does just what it says in the description and is just what the title says Now Ill never waste 80 on an encyclepedia again                 Excellent app
